This blogger under an alias broke it way before the Oregonian did (in December), the Oregonian just regurgitated what was all over the internet.

I honestly think that's a given at this point.
Not too shocked it was Oregon, but I'm kind of glad it was.. I really can't stand Chip Kelly. -

After hardcore rumors that it was Oregon had been flying all day -
OneBuckeyeThere still hasn't been any clear violations to Oregon. The payments are huge and very fishy but nothing to warrent a death penalty has come out yet.
-
JawbreakerGlad to see both teams in the NC game were clean.

Kinda what I was thinking but we'll see. -
Cleveland BuckIf Oregon wasn't on probation when all of this happened they can't get the death penalty, but they can get hit hard.
-
SonofanumpThe NCAA stated that they would do everything possible to avoid the death penalty after shutting down SMU in the late 80's.
-
OneBuckeyeWell if it turns out Phil Knight was on campus writing all the players 10K checks every month, I'm sure they get the death penalty. Now I'm sure thats not the case, but that has to be soem actions that would warrent the DP.
-
j_crazyboth NC game teams, I have a feeling the NCAA would rather do nothing just because they're too proud to admit they made any mistake.
