The only way I see that being relevant is if grandmother Reggie were buried inside an empty carton of ice cream or murdered by a coffee cup. Then maybe the dining argument would be reasonable. I think I am going to hell, though, so no worries. Maybe I will see her. (Now I am for sure haha.)wildcats20;696815 wrote:I don't know. I'm not sure they will be able to eat breakfast for the next 5 days.
At any rate, a bad situation for Mr. Bullock. He definitely didn't have the type of shooting year I thought he would, but he's young and I'm sure will provide me more fits than I'll want over the course of the next couple of seasons. For the Carolina guys, is there any chance Reggie isn't a four-year guy, especially if he were to blow up next winter? More importantly, what are your thoughts on Harrison Barnes' career status? Obviously, the beginning to his year wasn't quite what was expected, but he's played exceptionally down the stretch. Shooting has been down of late, though, I noticed. Was just curious. On the Duke front, I never would have expected Josh McRoberts to leave after two years considering he couldn't score on a remote control car. But he did. Guys surprise ya. -
wildcats20My opinion....
Reggie will be here at least 3 years. Barnes will be back next year but that's it. I HOPE that Henson comes back, but I doubt it. -
reclegend22Thanks for your take. I definitely think Barnes comes back. He is one year away from truly being First Team All-American good. He will be dynamite next season, and I will hate him.
I think Henson, with his long athleticism and upside, would really make a great Timberwolf. He's really earned it.
Tyler Zeller has a lot of upside, too, and has really been reminding me of Detlef Shrempf with that powerful three-ball he's been soaking. He should treat himself to something nice as well.

HeelzI think Bullock will be at least a 3 yr guy, next year he'll breakout and the year after he will prove the breakout was for real and not just luck.
Barnes also a 3 yr guy I think he is doing a great job. I mean he is a freshman and had alot of expectations on his shoulders but even with being in a slump he still finds a way to score 18-21 pts and play great D and rebound.
Henson will come back next year block everything and these three will all have big parts in destroying Dook, twice, winning the ACC regular season and tourney championships THEN winning the NC...in that order -
ironman02LOL. No, rec. Reggie's grandmother will not be used IF an excuse is needed on Saturday. I was just pointing out his bad luck over the last couple months. I doubt if Reggie ends up being a four year player, but I'd say he'll be in Chapel Hill until after his junior season. I definitely think we'll see him as a VERY good player next year when he's healthy.
Zeller is definitely back next season. He is a very skilled big man, but he still needs to improve his strength and toughness. To make it in the NBA, he's going to have to learn to be more physical down low, but he has a ton of potential. Even though he's a junior, he's basically a sophomore due to injuries in his first two seasons.
Henson is the most likely to leave after this season, in my opinion. Much like Zeller, he's not ready for the NBA in a physical sense due to his slight build. He still needs to put on some muscle, and he really needs to develop his offensive game. He has a decent jump hook, but he has no face-up game to speak of at this point. The thing is, though, that he has a ton of potential, so he definitely could be drafted in the lottery. I really believe that John absolutely loves Carolina, and I think that, along with needing to get bigger and stronger, will have him back in The Hill for one more season.
Harrison Barnes is going to be a great pro one day. He has the potential to be drafted in the lottery this season. However, I don't think he's going anywhere. Barnes is a very cerebral kid who is very dedicated to his studies. He wants to earn his college degree and he wants to accomplish great things as a basketball player at Carolina as well. He could go to the NBA at any time during his college career, and eventually be successful, but I would not be the least bit surprised to see him back in Chapel Hill for at least another year or maybe two. He could finish his degree after three years, so staying until after his junior season is not out of the question, in my opinion.
Anyway, I'm hoping that all three of the potential early entrants return to Chapel Hill. Realistically, I do think there's a good chance of that happening. As I said before, I think Henson is the most likely to leave, and Barnes could go too, but I honestly believe that the worst possible scenario is that Henson is gone after this year. -

You certainly know the arrangement of a college basketball season, there is no arguing that. But tell me something. On which years is the ACC Tournament played in May? Lol.Henson will come back next year block everything and these three will all have big parts in destroying Dook, twice, winning the ACC regular season and tourney championships THEN winning the NC...in that order
As a side note, Roy doesn't care about ACC championships, so I wouldn't bank on that goal. Roy's made clear how exasperated and uninterested he is each year when having to prepare his team to win the ACC Tournament. Except for when he isn't. Those are the years UNC "stumbles" to the win. I mean, they aren't just picking years out of a hat, are they? Roy: The baseball hat says this is the doggone year. Lol. Something tells me they drew "Care" this year.
This has always made me smile. I chalk it up as further evidence of just how dominant Duke has been in the ACC over the past 20 years. The numbers, well, we all know them.

Haha, I never thought you would. That would be CLASSIC, if you did, considering she was killed like a month ago. If we lose, I'm citing Abraham Lincoln's death. Lol. And damn, as whole, this site has been absolutely brutal to the dead in the past monthironman02 wrote:LOL. No, rec. Reggie's grandmother will not be used IF an excuse is needed on Saturday. reclegend22Also, just read through your summary of Carolina's expected returners/departures. From an outside fan's perspective, I agree with everything you said. I think John is the most likely to make the jump. He's the exact prototype I think of when I think NBA Draft -- extraordinarily long, super athletic, extremely springy (both offensively and defensively), great finisher on the rim, and has a nice jump-hook around the lane. Basically, he's Bill Walton. Like I said, he would make a fantastic Timberwolf.
But no, he's definitely the most equipped player Carolina has Draft-wise right now. He'll be a beast if he returns to CH. -
wildcats20HARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRISON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Tiger2003Huge shot by Mr Barnes!!! UNC down 1 he hits a 3 to win it at FSU.
-
ironman02HOLY SHIT!!! HARRISON FREAKIN BARNES!!!
He is so damn clutch it's not even fair.
Carolina survives a football game with FSU to go to 23-6, 13-2 ACC.
Bring on the Evil Empire! -
wildcats20lol I love that the tie breaker for the ACCT is who beat FSU lol
-
ironman02John Henson with another monster game, scoring 19 points, grabbing 12 boards, and blocking 3 shots.
Barnes with 18 points, including the game winner with 3.1 seconds remaining.
Leslie McDonald chips in 10 points off the bench, which is a HUGE key for the Heels with Bullock now out.
Zeller with only 9 points tonight but he was probably fouled 99 times.
Kendall Marshall, the ACC leader in assists, dished out 8 more tonight. -

Haha, yes.Heelz wrote:Hey a guy can have dreams right?
And LOL at that photo of John Henson. That's one of the funniest things I've seen in awhile. -
swamisezJohn Henson's father wore a tshirt to Cameron this year that had something much like that scene on it. Had those three bombing Cameron. WRAL got a kick out of it the day after the Duke UNC game in Feb.
Also, Dexter Strickland guaranteed victory saturday night. -
HeelzIs anyone going to be watching the J.P Tokoto decision?

ironman02Heelz;698818 wrote:Is anyone going to be watching the J.P Tokoto decision?
Not sure if I'll watch the online stream, but I'll certainly be paying attention.
Announcement is at 11PM. Tokoto would be a nice addition to Paige in the 2012 class.
Still need a shooting guard and at least one big man in that class. My choices would be Shabazz Muhammad and Tony Parker.
I think Shabazz is very interested in Carolina, but I also think he's going to UK. Not gonna jump the gun on anything, but he went to Kentucky for their senior night on Tuesday and now he's supposedly not coming to Chapel Hill on Saturday. It may not mean much, but I don't like it. -
ironman02Tokoto is a Tar Heel!
He has a ton of potential. Great athleticism. -
HeelzReal excited to get this kid, Paige and Tokoto setting up to be a monster class.
