SOMEBODY would take him. His stats this year were crazy. I imagine he'll be out of the big 10 so he can get a scholarship.

Les Miles or Brady Hoke? RR is out.

Right, but he will obviously want to play QB, i'm just not sure who's offense he would fit into besides Oregon.

Most of these questions cannot be answered until we know who the new coach is.

He'll end up as an Offensive Coordinator somewhere. That way he won't be able to touch the head man's defense.

I look for Justice Hayes to decommit and then start looking at Pittsburgh.

If they bring in Harbaugh or Brady Hoke (2 names I keep hearing) they both run NFL style offenses and most guys wont fit their system. DOes anyone think this will lead to players leaving again. How well could Denard run a PRO style offense.

I wish that RRod fan boy from JJHuddle was here just to see his reaction. He claimed to be his cousin or something like that.

I glad others are thinking this too. That was one of my first thoughts.

Maybe Michigan should hire Mike Leach. He seems to be brought up for every opening these days.

Gary Paterson or Chris Peterson would be at the top of my list, if I were a michigan fan. I don't think they could lure either away but I would try my hardest if I were the AD.

A little tidbit. Minnesota's new coach was the best man at Gary Patterson wedding...

I feel sad that he's gone, but at the same time I feel a sense of accomplishment that Jim Tressel has essentially forced out two Michigan coaches now.

Carr, I guess, but playing bullshit D in the Big 10 won't cut it. RR slit his own throat imo.

I feel sorry for just about anyone who is fired, no matter what profession. Because just like regular workers, it not only affects them, but their family as well.

I will say this though. Even as Ohio State guy (I hope I don't catch heat saying this) it killed me to see Rich Rod at Michigan. When people said he is not a Michigan guy it is true. When I think Michigan football I think of feisty Coach, physical football, power running game, play makers, and good defense. And to be honest I kinda missed that. Because no matter how much I hate Michigan and love Ohio State, when Michigan is good, it not only makes college football better, but the OSU-Michigan game better as well. The last 3 year "The Game" didn't have any kind of build up like years past. I want to get back to that.

it will be interesting to see what both Robinson and Forcier decide to do...also, wasn't the dbag from the huddle Nikki Santoro?

As for who I want to have the Michigan job, I hope they give it to Les Miles. I felt bad for Les in 2008 when the job was open because I know he really wanted to head back to his alma mater but LSU playing in the National Championship game prevented him for doing so. When I see Les, I see Michigan. Feisty, physical offense, and defense. He would make a perfect fit imo.

Word is that RRod and David Brandon aren't even done with their meeting yet. This could be bad from a UM perspective. It doesn't take an hour and a half to fire someone.

But had RR beat Ohio State this year (or even beaten them once and been competitive the other two times) there's a good chance that he'd get one more year.

You sure got that Harbaugh avatar up quick. I wouldn't put myself through the pain of wanting him only to have my hopes dashed if I were you.

This brainiac really knows his stuff when it comes to coaches' job security. :( What a damn shame. If Notre Dame picks up Amir Carlisle I won't miss Justice Hayes at all though.

Kyle Brindza, Notre Dame's 2011 all-american kicker, goes to the same school as UM's 2011 DE Brennen Beyer. He is 6'4 225 and runs a ~4.5-4.7 (depending the website). Beyer had Notre Dame as his #2 before he committed. Look for a bit of action there.
