Pitt??? -
krambmanBrady Hoke has probably already called a realtor and moving company. I'm not surprised that he's been fired. He was a horrible choice from the start who just didn't get it (and by it I mean anything, the Midwest, Michigan football, the Big Ten, the Rivalry, tradition, history, championships, etc.). I think that Hoke will definitely be better, but I still don't think he's the guy to get them back to the top. The Game will be more competitive, but OSU will continue to dominate.

I think he can do that on command. -

OneBuckeyeI wonder what this will do to their recruiting for this year as RR brings in system guys, and sell them on his philosophy. Obviously I doubt his succesor will have the same philosophy.

They essentially lose a whole recruiting class -
imex99How many players will stay/transfer? It will be interesting and with this years recruiting class.... Already had the top RB pull his commit and commit to Bama.
-
queencitybuckeyeI feel bad when a good, decent person loses their job.
Which has nothing to do with this jackass. -

Boooooo! That makes me very unhappy. I wanted the Chargers to fire Turner, and name Rivera head coach. -

Eh its hard to say how many commits have committed to RR and how many to Michigan. A lot of them are defensive and OL commits which are positions of need at UM. They may not lose as many as I originally thought. Obviously the couple that already decommitted are long gone now though. -

I am not talking about losing comittments, I am talking about it is basically a class full of guys that won't fit the new system. -
OneBuckeye^ Right, but they only have 1 RB commited and everyone else is defense or Offensive Line. They don't have 10 slot receivers committed like most years.

And you think the small o-lineman and crappy D players are going to fit someone with a more traditional style system? -

It will hurt their offensive recruiting, but since he basically only relies on walk-ons for defense it will help defensive recruiting. -
4cards...I'm missing him already, a sad sad day in Columbus

ou1980Will the qb stay?????

At this point in 2011 recruiting there isn't any top defensive talent available with intrest in michigan. I think a new coach will take what he can get. -

He said he woudln't but I woudln't know where he would go. (OSU could use him at WR). I think he will wait for the new coach, and see what his plans are for him and make his decision then. -
ytownfootballMany of you are assuming that whatever coach coming in is going to do what RR did and throw the baby out with the bath water, and not adjust (coach) to what's available...I hardly see anyone being that stupid again. But they better get someone in place asap and stop the bleeding.
