    Darian Cooper to Iowa.

Michigan got one 3 star today and the class sits at 19. Still in the hunt for two 4 star guys but I would not be surprised if this is the class of 2011. Not a bad class at all IMO.

Just got a tweet that Mattinson slipped on the ice and tore his quad. Has to have surgery.

I felt awkward watching that. I can't imagine being ANY of those 5 men in the conversation.

When Brady said, "... There's no excuse for us not competing at a High Level..." Rich Rodriguez looked pretty pissed as well as when he was discussing that it takes a special person to be here and you have to fit that mold. Granted he was talking about recruits, but Rodriguez just looked upset. (As would I in that situation)

If only he was that pissed while he was the coach. He might have actually tried a little harder to "get it" and win some games they never should have lost IMO.

I completely agree with you bo, but it was still awkward and entertaining actually to watch.

Late visitor this weekend in Illinois OL Graham Glasgow (6'7" 295lbs). Sounds like a project kid. Not sure if offer worthy.

OSU offered him a perferred walk on spot. He only played one year of football. I think the kid will be good, impressive highlights.

    Buckeyes interested in Graham Glasgow

As signing day approaches there is one prospect who isn't getting caught up in the sense of urgency that others in his class are feeling right now. Offensive tackle Graham Glasgow (Aurora, Ill./Marmion Academy) isn't your typical recruit. He is a basketball player, turned football player with one year of experience under his belt. Glasgow helped lead his team to a state runner-up finish in 2010 and now football is his sport of choice.

His parents are the team doctors for the Northern Illinois football team and that's why new Minnesota coach Jerry Kill brought him up for an official visit. Now Ohio State has entered the picture.

"Coach (Doc) Tressel came to my basketball practice [Thursday]," said the 6-foot-7, 290-pounder. "I had a great conversation with Coach Tressel and it looks like I'll go there next week for a visit. Right now I think it would be the same situation as Minnesota. I would be a preferred walk-on."

Glasgow's offensive line coach at Marmion is former Chicago Bears lineman Kurt Becker and he says the sky is the limit for Glasgow.

"[Glasgow] has unlimited potential," Becker said. "I played at Michigan and in the NFL. I think I have a good feel of what a Big Ten type offensive tackle should look like. With some development and coaching, Graham could end up being a multi-year starter at the next level."

Well anyone is going to take a walk on who looks the part. Walk on means you get a chance to try out for the team, nothing more or less. Kid still pays the school and the team does not use a scholarship on him so why would not not take him?

Who said they wouldn't take him?

Not surprised but out of state tuition is crazy at OSU so he has to be getting something IMO.

his parents are both doctors I think they can swing it. The OOS tuition at UM is better?

I remember I was looking at UM when I was in HS. When I graduated in 2004, UM OOS was around 35,000/year.
  • mrtinkertrain
OOS at Michigan is currently like 42,000 a year.

Coach Hoke has launched an all out blitz for the 2012 class by issuing 110 offers at this point. The large numbers is due to Hoke's relatively low name profile imo. Issuing offer's is a great way for high school coaches to get to know you.

Some of the kid's that Michigan is currently very strong with are.

OT Jordan Diamond 6'6 290- Top 5 OT in the 2012 class and likely 5 star recruit.

LB Kalob Ringer 6'1 225- Ohio's top LB and a member of the top 10 recruits in ohio. He is also Javon Ringers cousin

LB Royce Jenkins-Stone 6'2 230- Longtime Michigan fan who has offers from Oklahoma, Bama and Miami among many others

S Jarrod Wilson- 6'2 190- Akron Buchtel stud who's head coach is none other than Ricky Powers.

DE Chris Wormley- 6'5 250- Top 10 nationally DE and likely top 100 overall talent

DE Matt Godin- 6'5 260- Not spectacular but should develop into a solid DE.

TE Ron Thompson 6'4 225- Combine stud with great hands

LB James Ross 6'1 215- Top 5 WLB nationally and possible 5 star recruit. He's a kid that Mattison made a huge difference with.

DT Dan O'brien 6'2 285- Between us and Tennesee let's hope we win. This kid is a STUD
