2011 Michigan Recruiting
-
Trueblue23Bryant might be the biggest commit in this class if he comes, dude is a monster.
Hoke is doing work on the recruiting trail -

RB is much more deep, at least talentwise, but Rawls would be a nice short yardage guy to have.
I'd rather have had Devin Lucien at WR than Rawls at RB. Definitely agree on Fisher and Bryan.
Loaded more number wise right now. But I still think WR is not priority THIS YEAR. We lose Hemingway, Stonum and Odoms after next season. We'll still have Roundtree, T. Robinson, Gallon, Stokes, Jackson and Miller. Plus whatever we sign next year. Scoring 1 good WR would have been nice this year, but I am not overly concerned.
We have depth at RB, but do we have true pro-style backs that can take a pounding and be an every down back? I think Shaw and Hopkins will be the workhorses next year, with some Cox and Fitz mixed in. Though Cox is a bit bigger than Shaw. I don't see V. Smith being much of a factor anymore. -
Trueblue23I like Smith but he's not a Michgan RB.
IF he can stay healthy.. Fitz could do big things under Hoke. Especially with the OL we have, he could be a faster Mike Hart. -
Trueblue23With that said, I do expect Thomas Rawls to commit, and we have Justice Hayes coming in.

Don't be surprised if Hayes plays some WR. -

I read that RichRod recruited him for some RB/Slot, but Hoke told him he'd carry the ball under his offense. What that means, idk. Hayes is pretty good catching the ball out of the back field though. -
daveLooks like Fisher is a very long shot.
Hoke is doing decent, but I wouldn't say he's doing great. Losing most of the 4 star recruits and replacing them with multiple 3 star guys is ok. If he has 1 or 2 tricks up his sleeve in the next week then I'd say it's great. I think the volume is easy to get excited about but any coach who wears a Michigan hat and jacket can walk into a home and get 3 star guys to come to Ann Arbor. I'm definitely not complaining although it might sound like that, just trying not to get too excited. -

Given 3 weeks to recruit, I think he is doing great. -

WebFireStefan McClure has, as expected, chosen Cal.
-
daveUCLA fans thought they had McClure, I wouldn't say as expected to Cal.
Sucks that him and Raven never really showed much interest. -

Last few days has had him favoring Cal. Doesn't matter what UCLA fans thought.
But what I meant was that it wasn't Michigan, as expected. -
daveAir Force added to the 2012 schedule. What a crazy year that will be.
-
WebFireChris Bryant announcing at 8:30 tonight. Hope we hear a Go Blue! from Chris.
Air Force is an interesting game. Could be a trap game coming off the Alabama game. Michigan will be right at the top for toughest schedules that year. -
bigkahunaYea, because it will also include trips to South Bend, Columbus, and Lincoln.
Hopefully we have a strong Defense and a Senior Laden offense to lead us. -

I looked some things up about him on rivals. At first I thought it said OLB and I was thinking "Holy Shit, a 350 OLB!" I need to proofread better. -

sent you a PM with a few good sites to frequent. Whatever you do, don't sign up for rivals or scout. Can't believe people actually pay money for info on the internet. -

Thanks I appreciate that. Rivals wants you to sign up to see anything besides the most basic of information.
