OSU players getting free tatoos for autographs?

  • Scarlet_Fever
This is crazy. If all this is true they knew the rules and deserve to be punished. However, small potatoes compared to Newton. It will be intersting what the NCAA will say when people ask about the comparison.

Of course I'm serious. This isn't the SEC. And these are serious violations. 4 of the leaders on the team do stupid stuff like this - how does the top brass not know about it?

    I agree

They got 4 games for selling the stuff and taking improper benefits. The 5th game was from the University for NOT reporting it right away.

They will donate the money to charity, appeal the suspension, and it will be reduced to 2 games.

It's just too damn bad their Dad's didn't step up and get them $180K. Then they wouldn't have to be selling shit...

Talk about flushing your legacy (and next year possibly) down the toilet . . .

Because the players aren't in the eye sight of coaches 24 hours a day.

Let the Braxton Miller era begin

So a dad can sell a kid but a kid can't sell a ring?
  • vball10set
I wonder if this'll impact any of these dimwits' decision to declare themselves eligible for the draft
  • NilesPacMan
*Sigh* If there's any good to come out of this, we'll get to see Braxton Miller develop very early next season to see how he pans out. Also, we'll get to see other running backs other than Boom.

Agreed. They aren't baby sitters. Especially for 100+ college kids. You can't help that 5 of them are completely retarded.

They were dumb enough to do it and deserved what they got.

Yeah, these players are adults...it is on them. Coaches always get too much shit when these idiots do shit like this. I just cannot get over how these players don't appreciate the history of the rivalry...those pants should be the most valuable thing they own.

hopefully adams leaves too so we don't have to wonder which tackle position he will ineptly fill next year.

OSU's class of 2008 recruits may be the biggest bust ever. look at the names:
Posey - panned out but now this
Pryor - let's be honest, never panned out
    Adams - LOL

I agree that the suspension will be reduced to 2 or 3 games.
  • Blanket
It shows you how much they care about the university and how much they care about #1.

Yeah no kidding. Hopefully Guiton and/or Miller come hungry and seize the opportunity. I'm worried at QB, but definitely not worried about our RB situation. Hall, Berry, Smith, Hyde....we'll be fine.

Even if they reduce the suspension's to 3 games, they still miss one of the biggest games of their season.

I am not really understanding here, granted I don't know all the rules. If someone receives a gift, is it not theirs to do with what they want? If I get something for my Birthday, I could sell it if I wanted. Are there strings attached to the awards, rings, etc. that these guys get?

No shit. Just tell the NCAA that your dad sold the stuff for you. The inconsistency with the NCAA is a damn joke

I agree Cam Newton got off easy, but on the other hand at least they cheated for something valuable. These guys should be suspended for being idiots...what does $300-$1200 (or whatever) buy them in college? A playstation 3 and a television?

    I'm not scared.

Braxton, IMO, can step in and at least be horizontal to Pryor in terms of leading us to victory bc he's a better passer.

OSU will find other WRs to step up, and Rod Smith will be the starter next fall.

The only player I'm pissed we're losing is Mike Adams. Dude made major strides this year and is one of the best returning O-linemen in the country.

I don't disagree Gibby, as in a few posts back of mine where I stated at least they are getting punished unlike certain player in the SEC!

well considering the history of some of these fuckholes, it could be money for dope.
