Gordon Gee with a big ole F U to Boise and TCU
-
Pick6I was hoping Boise would make it into the title game.. I thought they could have won it. But I was wrong. Im hoping for an LSU loss today..and hopefully Oregon or Auburn go down next week. I think Wisconsin can beat anyone in the country the way they are playing right now (without Clay even)
-
WebFireThis is why a playoff is needed. All this talking shit about schedules is a retarded way to determine who plays for the NC. OSU has not beat a single BCS Top 25 school, yet they think someone else shouldn't play because of their weak schedule?
-
cats gone wildWow, web.....you have a point. Thats crazy not to have a win over any top 25 team for a whole season. Basically OSU is 0-1 vs. ranked teams. At least Boise and TCU beat some ranked teams. Now, if this was Boise or TCU with zero wins over ranked teams people would say they shouldnt be in a BCS game. The same should go for OSU. Miami and Iowa both turned out to be complete frauds, so basically OSU has no quality wins. Before I get LSU losing posts, at least they have beaten 3 currently ranked teams and only lost to top 10 BCS bowl teams.

Hb31187OSU really hasnt beat a single ranked team and theyre gonna get a BCS birth more than likely?
-
ytownfootballLol...yeah we're ashamed of ourselves
we suck
we're over rated
couldn't win a fuckin thing
we'll just choose not to accept it cuz we're sooooo undeserving
LOL -

They are Big Ten champions, that's enough to get a BCS birth. If it wasn't for the 2 max per conference rule, MSU would get a birth as well. -

UConn is getting birth too, if they win next week. Woohoo! -

UConn is the Big 10 champ....huh. -

What's Michigan getting? Please don't talk shit, how many more times in a row does Ohio State have to pound Michigan before Michigan fans go back to the cave where they came from? -

Haha! Really? This has NOTHING to do with Michigan. I'm not talking shit, I'm talking real. -
dwccrewPeople can say whatever they want about Ohio State, Boise St., TCU, etc. Fact of the matter is TCU and OSU will be playing in BCS bowls and Boise St. will not. End of discussion.

Obviously that's not what I meant, hence the changing of the post. -

Of course it has nothing to do with Michigan, does anything in college football have to do with Michigan? They are terrible. They haven't done anything great since they STOMPED an overrated Tebow-lead Florida team a few years back. -

Awww...good for you. Do you feel better now? -
gyea36If TCU was so confident in their conference why jump out and not choose to fight for an automatic bid with Boise joining them? They made Gee's point...as did Boise with their loss. Hilarious.

I think TCU knew what there conference was. No one was arguing TCU's conference to be on par with the Big 10, so I'm not sure what your point is? -
lhslep134Cats and Web,
OSU can't do anything about what their opponents do, they can only beat who is placed in front of them, which they do on a very consistent basis year in and year out. -

Ohio State schedules a cupcake schedule, so by doing that they bring on criticism. The schedule is weak, and that is a fact. With that said, it is the smartest thing to do. If you are Ohio State and you go undefeated, you play in the National Championship? Why risk playing a tough OOC schedule when it can only cause more harm than good.
So the fact remains, OSU will get criticized on a yearly basis, but they are also doing what is best for the program. It is what it is. -

Besides the fact OSU plays a traditional powerhouse in the OOC every year...unlike a lot of other teams -

That's an irrelevant argument when everyone can use it. I'm not dogging OSU's schedule at all. It's a product of the current system. But OSU fans shouldn't be busting another team's balls about SOS when theirs isn't all that great. -
karen lotzWhat do I know about college football? I look like Orville Redenbacher. I have no business talking about college football," he said Wednesday, according to The Columbus Dispatch.

Ha ha. My god...cutting a check to the Little Sisters of the Poor. Are we all on the hook for that too because I've heard/said that analogy about a thousand times? -

Yes it is relevant, are you kidding me?
Miami, Iowa, MICHIGAN, Penn State etc. are all much much much more talented opponents than anyone Boise faced besides VT and Nevada, but it won't show up in SOS arguments because those teams had down years that are not representative of the talent on the team (except Michigan's defense). -

miami was good this season that their coach got fired. and michigan's coach is on the hot seat . iowa once again proved to be more hype than substance. and penn state is garbage. miami had a down year? lately that is the norm in south beach.
