I bet not many bucks fans would like to play Boise or TCU on a neutral field or a bowl game. This year I would take Boise or TCU by 10 points over OSU in a heartbeat.
Why does every single non OSU fan think we want to play freakin' North Texas State or similar in a bowl game? -
thedynasty1998Schedule might be similar, but then there is a Conference Championship game, which adds a lot of credibility.

OK, If they meet in a bowl game, I'll put up to $10,000 on OSU +10 vs either Boise or TCU.
Please confirm that you are willing to put your money where your mouth is, and I'll set up an escrow account this week to hold the funds until, either the game doesn't happen in which case funds are returned, or after the game, when the winner gets the account balance... -

That it does, but you gotta get there first before you count it on your schedule -

Nice try chief, but he is not a Buckeye fan -

What's dumb about it?
You said "This year I would take Boise or TCU by 10 points over OSU in a heartbeat."
I'm offering you the opportunity to do so. -

Then he is even dumber thinking the Bucks would beat either one of those teams. -

Raise the stakes then to more money.
Seriously, anyone can open there mouth on a forum acting like they are all bad and got alot of money, but you dont have nothing to prove that you could do the bet. -

Yep, just like anyone can make outlandish predictions of TCU or Boise beating OSU by 10... -

And even the SEC can't make that statement. The entire SEC east is GARBAGE, that's half the conference, and does anyone really think Mississippi State or Ole Miss is any good? That's 8 of the 12 teams that are mediocre and we're still unsure about Arkansas, LSU, and Auburn.thedynasty1998;573917 wrote:Let's just quit pretending that all these BCS conferences have this grind of a season. Really the only conference that can make that statement is the SEC. Ohio State really only have to "prepare" for 3 teams on their schedule and the others were a sure win. -
Fab1bEvery team in the Big Ten has better athletes then teams in Boise and TCU conf. Better athletes = wins, of course not always but they are facing much better athletes week in and out then these two schools. That includes the Indiana's, Vanderbilt's, Kansas's, etc...of the world!

It's no use talking to you because no matter who the Buckeyes play you will say that they are no good, Colorado is an improving team this season, Nebraska is much better than Iowa and Miami although not as good as hyped was a better team when OSU played them than Virgnia Tech was when Boise played them. With the addition of the Big Ten championship game if the BUcks can qualify then that will give them another top team on their schedule. There I just did what I said I wouldn't do (argue more with you)cats gone wild;574118 wrote:Not really. Nebraska takes the place of Iowa next year.
Colorado isnt any good.
Miami was suppose to live up to the hype this year werent they? And they didnt, as I predicted at the very beginning of the year. Miami hasnt been good in a LONG time.
So basically, not much difference next year, besides removing one MAC school and adding Colorado who isnt good. -

No one has said the Big 10 isn't a better conference as a whole. So not sure what you're trying to say here? -

quality and depth of athletes are far superior than anything Boise has or will play in the Mountain -
BlanketI have to second dynasty's question, who is unsure about LSU and Auburn?

Nebraska will not be "much better" than a game with Iowa next year. Nebraska loses alot of starters and will be down next year (according to posts on this board). Miami has been overhyped for the past 2 seasons. They were actually better in 09. They are not improving this year. And as for Colorado, they are going to finish 5-7 with a span of 5 losses in a row. They won 5 in 08 and 3 games in 09. I dont call that an improving team. Just face it, another weak schedule and probably a BCS game because of it. -

Who is arguing otherwise? No one has argued that the MWC is better than the Big 10. -

So Bama must be the best team in the conference? -
Little DannyI'm not going to debate the issue because everyone on here is truly entrenched in their positions on whether or not Boise or TCU deserve a shot at the National Championship.
That being said, I find Gordon Gee's unbecoming of a university president and lacking in class. Leave the talking down of other institutions and programs to the Sleeper's of the Worlds on internet message boards. -
cats gone wildAnd btw, did Gordon Gee get the "little sisters of the poor" from Ohio message boards or is that a common phrase known nationally?

My frosh basketball coach used to use that term as well as Johnny Junior High. -
ytownfootballsisters of the poor is common...I like Johnny Junior High though lol
-
wildcats20Speaking of OSU playing Boise or TCU.
Anyone else think now that Gee has made this a national issue(not that it wasn't already), that one of the BCS bowls is going to put OSU against one of the 2??? I think it is a very, very good possibility now.
