Not enough information is provided. derp. The little boy with $3.50 could be a conservative and buy one piece and save the rest. The boy with $2.50 could have parents who voted for Obama and spend all of his money.

Man, I miss one day on here and I miss this tremendous thread. Just well done by all.

Seriously, whenever I'm whatever age Footwedge is pretending to be, I hope I'm just as comfortable looking like a total ass.

Typical yawwwwn material from my man Groupy. Ad hominem attack without an ounce pf substance. You want to debate the topic at hand, or break the fuckin rules and namecall? Ball's in your court there Slick.

you called me dorkie footwedge. I think that's enough to warrant a warning. stop being a girl. this thread was awful. You got pwned by everyone in it. Move on.

I gave my opinion on the topic at hand. See the 3rd post in the thread. But I do want to make it clear I'd make that trade everyday of the week even if the Yanks didn't take on any of Teixiera's contract. Closer is the most overrated position in baseball. I'm going to enjoy Perez while he's here, but once he's up for big time money I hope we let him walk. If we could swing a trade for a position of more value, then great for us.

That's better. See, you can voice your opinion without calling someone an ass. Pretty simple if you ask me. As for taking on Tex's full contract, would never, ever happen...and you know it. So why even go there? And the "closer is the most overated in baseball" and "let Perez walk" is more of a spite towards me than of rational thinking on your part.

1997 is all I need to say regarding the importance of the closer. Mesa was pretty bad the entire month of September that year and was shaky throughout the playoffs. Hargrove didn't have the guts in sticking with his setup guys...who were all slamming doors. No, Hargrove put in "the closer"...and it robbed championship starved Cleveland fans a title. So spare me that the closer is overated.

This thread is another example of a bunch of lemmings that cannot think on there own, but instead act like spoiled children in responding. Start from my OP...and then READ IT. Do it. Reread from the start. And then you will understand what really caused this thread to be a shitting contest. Newsflash!.. it wasn't me.

Colletti's last Call had a caller throw out the trade as one of prospect for the tribe, and Colletti took the position that it would not be a good one for Cleveland. My OP simply related this trade from the caller on the show. I never even hinted at what I thought of the trade...at that time. Just thought it would make for an interesting thread. Wrong.

My initial comment? "Thoughts?". Didn't endorse it...Didn't reject it. As innocuous as it can be.

Response after response from "you're sniffing gas fumes" on #2 on through the rest...showed me what an absolute pile of juveniles that hang here. Don't like the trade? State the reasons why...and then move forward. But no. People want to throw vitriole. Well guess what Grodt....when you people act like punks...then you get treated like punks. It's the way it is.

If you look at every thread or any thread where I get involved with pissing contests...it always gets started with another poster or posters attacking me. ALWAYS. As in each and every time....going back to last year...and the Ubaldo trade.

I happen to be a huge tribe fan...and I enjoy the banter...for the most part. Like any poster, sometimes I am right, and sometimes I am wrong. I was right on Jamison, I was right on Ubaldo, and I was right on Jeanmar. I stated from day one of this season that Gomez would have a better ERA than Jiminez. Let the record speak for itself.

Conversely, I was wrong on Derek Lowe...way wrong. I was wrong on Kotchman way wrong...and readily admitted as such. Not too many people take the high road as often as I do. Shlep 134 started that other pile of crap in waylaying into me. and I waylaid back. He started it...and I finished it.

But there a cluster of assholes that quite frankly, ruin this site. A pile of immature babies...not gonna name names. And they are the same group that chased away BR1986 off of the Browns threads...for the exact same reason...attack, attack, attack....on a guy who eats, lives, breathes Browns football. Right or wrong, BR1986 is an asset to this site....and EACH AND EVERY TIME that he got involved in a thread pissing contest over there, it was his responding to the pile of 20 something assholes, that think they own the world. Well Grodt, guess what? They don't.

Whether you agree with me on my opinion...is really irrelevant. I know a lot about baseball, and I would expect a modicum of respect from my fellow tribe fans...for that reason alone. I have never initiated an attack on any poster on this site....EVER until attacked first. Then the gloves have come off a few times.

So maybe the next time you want to call someone an ass...someone that roots just as hard as you do for the home team, maybe you should reflect on this post before you do so.

Normally, you are an excellent tribe poster. But, as in this thread, you sometimes succumb to the banter of the collective 22 year olds in "ganging up" on one person's opinion on a sports board. Are you better than that? Or do you just try to fit in with a group of college kids that think they are at a perpetual frat party?

    It's your call there Bud.

Try English there kid. Yes, the poster wanted to know where this trade rumor started. So I answered him. You have a problem with that?

that was being defensive? The poster wanted to know where the trade rumor started...and I answered him.

Your problem Hoops....you can't handle the truth. Now tell me again how Poontawn Jamison was the answer to the Cavs problems. You STILL won't admit that that "addition" ruined the chemistry of the best team in the NBA.
