  Inbreeding? My mother is Irish-German and my father is Lebanese. Not real sure where the family lines got crossed. LOL.   Anyways, back on topic. I have no problems with what the gays want to do. I voted normal and acceptable. I personally believe that no one chooses to be gay, they are born that way, therefore it is a normal charateristic, just not common. It is acceptable because why would I care what someone else does and it doesn't effect me. I accept them for who they are.

  as you said a characteristic does not have to be common to be normal. When something is categorized as abnormal, those with it are marginalized.

  The large majority of people are right handed, it is normal to use the right hand. Are lefties abnormal. If we are dealing with % they are just a small part percentage of the population. In the past they were labeled that way. It went much further. They were seen as evil. The root is the word sinister is from the Latin sinistra meaning left.,,The word right developed from being a term for a side to meaning correct. And it holds true in several language where right is good and left is clumsy and evil. It was something to be repressed. My dad was in Parochial school and the nuns would beat his left hand with a ruler whenever he would write with it. They are disadvantaged in some ways up to the present.
