Is Being Gay "Normal?"

The above sentence is similar to the manner of discussion that is prevelent to you. it is a leap of conclusion drawing which I exaggerated for effect hoping you might better understand the ridiculousness of your tact. I don't know if you ever have said you want the rights restricted to polygamists but you offered reasons why it was. Similarly you have stated I want the age of consent changed when I expanded on it's faults...of course which I don't.
  
  Te bottom line is weird and abnormal behavior is subjective and dependent on societal culture. If you label something as a basic human right you can't restrict it from someone less you risk it being restricted from you. If you want to fight for basic right you cant deny it to a segment based on what is deemed weird and abnormal behavior. There's simply no reason for the State to sanction marriages.
  
  Finally, you don't get to decide my daughter's fate anymore than someone should get to decide the fate of a homosexual couple wanting to marry.

  Children are not adults and cannot enter into a contract to be married. Weird and abnormal behavior is subjective. If you don't want it applied to your basic right you should not be able to apply it to another's.

  We already logically place restrictions on marriage and on contracts. We deny the basic right to marry, sign contracts or to vote to certain people. We deny them to people we consider to be mentally incompetent in the opinion of society. They act weird and abnormal, we think they have diminished capacity to act so we deny them these basic rights based on society's opinion of what is competent. We have limited their basic rights for their supposed protection and what we think protects society. Denying the marriage of 18 year old girl to her father protect society, protects off spring and protects the girl.

  I am aware we current limit it. We also limit homosexuals from marrying.
  
  We don't need a State sanction of marriage to limit anything. We also don't need weird or abnormal behavior to determine the premise of relationships. It opens the door to limit what some find as normal and acceptable...such as homosexual marriages.

  obviously I am not the one on the thread who argued that the age of consent punished fast developing children. The Warren Jeffs and the Joseph Fritzl of the world will if there is no law in place with all the resulting damage to the off spring and family.
