Alright phone nerds, I need assistance.

Oh I completely understand. And you're not alone. I've heard so many customers turn down 4G phones while inside Verizon stores because they don't want to pay that price for the phone. Everyone has something that is important to them and ultimately drives their decision in a phone. I'd say more than half of the customers shop on price alone.

Sherm, can we go into Verizon and pre order the Bionic yet or do we gotta wait till the 8th?
  • sherm03
You're going to have to wait until the 8th.

Another question that I doubt you have info on but I'll try anyway... Will places like Costco have it Thursday? Trying to decide whether to get the accessories package for the extra $50 or not.

Not sure about Costco. From what I've read, Best Buy should have inventory on Thursday. But it will be limited as Verizon wants most of the inventory to be available for corporate stores.

I'd say the best bet to get it Thursday is a corporate Verizon store.

right but Costco is offering an extra battery, 2 docks and something else plus the phone for $300.

What have you heard about the inductive battery?

As of our last call, dates on it were still TBD.

    Boinic Hands on....
We’ve spent just about a day with the Motorola DROID BIONIC for Verizon Wireless, and while that’s not long enough to put together a thorough review, we can certainly report back on our first impressions. In short, the Motorola DROID BIONIC could be the best smartphone to ever grace Verizon Wireless’ airwaves, and that includes 3G and 4G devices. The DROID BIONIC feels completely different compared to other Motorola devices — especially the Motorola DROID 3. For the first time, it feels like a cohesive handset. Our experience following a day of light usage has this phone almost rivaling stock Android devices, again, for the time ever in our view. Read on for more and don’t forget to check out our photo gallery below.
The device fits nicely in your hand, isn’t overly heavy, and has the most reasonable footprint of any 4G LTE Verizon device we have used. It’s nothing like the HTC Thunderbolt, which was a bit bulky for our tastes. It is a bit curious that Motorola is using a TI OMAP 1GHz processor in the DROID BIONIC as opposed to the company’s NVIDIA Tegra 2 staple, but after playing with the phone for a while, it seems pretty clear that there are speed and battery advantages of the OMAP chipset, at least in our unscientific tests. Again, we haven’t spent too much time with the Motorola DROID BIONIC so far since Verizon just gave us a review unit yesterday, but one thing seems apparent… this very well could be the greatest smartphone ever to hit Verizon Wireless, and we’ll publish our full review soon enough. In the meantime, the hands-on gallery awaits you. The Motorola DROID BIONIC is available starting tomorrow from Verizon Wireless for $299 with two year agreement.

Was just going to post this myself. Sounds like the Bionic is getting mad reviews. Hmmm... all I can say for Apple is that the iPhone 5 better be 4G, or I could very well end up going Droid. Wow.

I plan on being at the Verizon store bright and early tomorrow to finally dump the original droid i have for the bionic. of course they probably wont have any and i will have wasted my morning.

    JACKPOT

LOL. I wasn't just blowing smoke.

This device is just simply heads and shoulders above anything else out there right now.

Can you confirm anything yet? ;)

    HA! Nope.

I have seen on reviews that moto phones supposedly aren't as "vibrant" as htc, Samsung and the iphone. Is the picture better on this phone?

The Bionic definitely has a better screen than any other Motorola phone that has been made. I've had Verizon reps in store comparing it to the Thunderbolt and the Charge, and they say the Bionic is easily the best screen.

Nice. I am not impressed with the thunderbolt, but Samsung phones usually look pretty good.
