And i don't care that much but he clearly said flag, wore Chavez shirts, pig socks, etc. Equality my ass. And weird how all these other people kneeling aren't being fired. Can we admit Kap sucks and his HATE comments are why he isn't on a team?

I just watched Jason Whitlock giving his opinion on this issue. He asserts that these players are out of their role in that level of political speaking (going from mostly memory here but I'll add the link at the bottom) and so this is how they are "talking", that they are beyond their depth, that they're not experts in the cause that they are taking up. He also asserts that getting into these deep racial discussions are not something you can just go through during 2:30 minutes of a national anthem. AND, to top all of that off, he states that the lefties have baited these players into doing things that are really outside their roles/expertise
"because they want black people to take a non-strategic approach to their problems, because they don't want us to really address their problems."

Overall, I'm not a Whitlock fan, but every time he comments on this topic he nails it.

I've only listened to him 2, maybe 3 times, but I agree with you. He's got a lot of points that I agree with, very little that I disagree with, but he's very good at making his case.
    Reps to your post, too!

I'll stand for my country National Anthem and the America Flag, I bend my knee for God and Heroes.

That's the problem, the original issue has been lost in lieu of the pissing match between the cheeto and the players.

    This.

“The issue of kneeling has nothing to do with race,” President Trump tweeted on Monday. “It is about respect for our country, flag and national anthem.”

The kneeling has a lot to do with race.

It did, but I no longer think it does. Now it's more about "Fuck Trump".

Maybe. Thank you Veterans for protecting our 1st Amendment rights, which allows this to happen.

No “maybe” about it really. Participation in Kneelism went from 10 to 200 after Trump interjected himself into the conversation.

    Hardly rocket science.

Blame the media too. Simple fix is keep the camera's on the person singing the national anthem and NOT on the kneeling players. It would all go away.

I haven't been keeping up with this thread, but I wanted to drop in with a story from the TNF Dolphins @ Bengals game from last season. A couple hillbillies were sitting behind us screaming "We don't kneel in Cincinnati!" over and over again as a few Dolphins players kneeled for the anthem. These guys were yelling throughout the entirety of the anthem. I find the act of screaming during the anthem a lot worse, and significantly more annoying.

The 1st Amendment really has nothing to do with this. The NFL would be completely within their rights to stop it tomorrow.

Just like all the idiots who were booing and yelling this past weekend.

Exactly. Employers have pretty wide discretion toward employee behavior during work hours...especially that which can affect company revenue. They’re perfectly within their right to condone it or shut it down.

Owners could fire every kneeler tomorrow...and while I’m sure the players union would sue, the owners would win in court pretty easily.
