Disgusted with Trump administration - Part I

  • gut
Trump is a bully, and he's finding out there are tough people in the media/politics that he can't bully and can't fire. But unless you get him lying under oath, he's not going anywhere. Easily enough Republican votes to join Democrats in impeachment, BUT ONLY if his popularity with his voters/base starts faltering - it's his disapproval rating going up much more so than his approval rating falling.

And for those of you who think Spicer is so awful (he is), have you seen Sarah Sanders?

I don't mind Pence. His social views are out of wack and he is awkward, but overall it would bring some normalcy to the country.

The bizarre thing is, so much is beyond petty. Just give a statement on Comey and move on - all he's doing is fueling perception that he is trying to hide something.

Truly I'm not sure anyone on this board could be doing a worse job than Trump. He's an entitled idiot with no filter - if he's not born with the silver spoon, he'd probably be one of those dishonest handymen everyone warns you about.

Instead, we have an adult with the emotional maturity of a spoiled 3rd grader who goes ballistic any time anyone says anything that's not in line with what he wants to hear. No impulse control whatsoever. Like LT said, a lot of shit would just go away if he kept quiet and took more of a "decisions were made; we're moving on" attitude. Instead he HAS to pick fights with the guy he fired, everyone who reports anything that didn't come directly from him and so on.

But such is life in an atmosphere where it seems that the main people wanting to be president are political lifers looking to be #1 and secure their family's position as a true DC powerbroker AND rich entertainers looking to appease their vanity. We could probably get more quality by electing a homeless junkie.
Sadly I don't think we see the end of it either. A lot of people treat these PUBLIC SERVANTS like A-list celebrities or superstar athletes, that we are most likely going to see more ridiculous candidates in the future. The Rock is considering running for president for fucks sake.

Regardless of policy, Pence was by far the most stable person of the final 4 people on the ticket.

I would be ok with him being POTUS, especially over Trump.

    The People's Candidate

But I think everyone is going to get a lesson in checks & balances, and realize POTUS is mostly a figure head that gives speeches and the occasional EO that pushes boundaries.

Well, if Trump shattered all the other R candidates simply by being unfiltered and verbally attacking hapless dweebs like Jeb and Ted "face made of melting wax" Cruz, imagine what the Rock could do in pure WWE promo mode. He'd say something about laying the smack down on roody-poo Isis and there'd be a million simultaneous orgasms.

It would not surprise me, at all, to see The Rock or Kanye get at least a nomination.

I would guess most (over half) of Americans mistake shouting and bullying in debates and on the campaign trail as strength/leadership/intelligence. Heck, both sides of the media tend to judge debates like a boxing match. The electorate is generally pretty ignorant and lazy, and the people we're voting for reflect that.

If stone cold is his running mate I'm in!

Seriously though, the only "celebrity" I would be ok with running at this point is Mark Cuban, even if he had a "D" by his name. He isn't dumb enough to do it though.

I'm embarrassed that Trump is our president. He embodies all of the worst stereotypes of the loudmouth obnoxious American. I think that stereotype is generally unfair, but he fills it exactly. I have a 10 year old daughter and I hate the fact that I don't want her to emulate one single trait of the current president. The emperor has no clothes and we're suffering for it. Oh, I know, he's going to "fix" things and have "terrific" outcomes. That's just great. How and when any of this stuff will happen is of no concern to him. Meanwhile we have to listen to him childishly contend with every single thing he perceives as unkind that is said about him.

I think he a narcissistic psychopath and is doing harm every day he is in office. A complete and total disaster (as he would say). But instead of trying to get better, maybe he should focus more of insulting Stephen Colbert.

I just needed to see the word "Huckabee" in her name to know she has to be trash.

Agreed. Pence is a good man. Were he the first name on the ticket I may have voted for them.

I am afraid every celebrity is going to try to get in on this now. Kanye and Kim Kardashian can't be far behind. Although maybe Trump is enough of a train wreck that the voters who put him in there will see the light? I doubt it...

Trump is pretty unique in his level of lying, bullying and idiocy. Kanye may be close, relatively speaking, but no one treads near that stratosphere. Cuban has had his ridiculous moments, but he's clearly a VERY intelligent guy.

Clooney could do very well - if he ran for Gov. of CA he could probably run for POTUS 4 years later.

The guy who really scares me is Zuckerberg.

I would hope that those pointing out conflicts of interest with Trump, both real and imagined, would be equally diligent should this come to pass.

It's fine. If Zuckerberg runs, just vote for 3rd party and you can wash your hands clean of responsibility.

Did that this time. My next step is to drop a deuce in the voting booth.

Pence is a good man, unless you're a homosexual. Then he wants to pray away your gay.

Because I was okay with either Obama or Romney winning. Neither of them were a threat to Democracy.

She's a political insider. I'd take her over Trump every day of the year for eternity. I'd take just about anyone over Trump; but the GOP wanted Trump and they support and condone his actions.

Didn't you vote in the GOP primary?
