Damn, is that what we have been doing wrong all these years!? Man, I guess we are just playing to lose.
Quick, Quaker, can you run down to the White House and provide that policy recommendation to the President stat!? All of our problems will be solved.

Man, why did I think of that!?

Look, it's been a while since I've played it, but back in the day, I was pretty killer in Risk. And I even did pretty decent at Sid Meier's Civilization after realizing it was smarter to just try to crush every other faction with military might than to try weird shit like develop a lot of technology to reach outer space. Put me at that diplomacy table!

[h=3]Opponents Of Power Plant Rule Accuse EPA Of “Breathtaking” Overreach.[/h]The Hill (2/22, Cama) reports that the states and energy companies suing to halt the Obama administration’s “climate change rule for power plants” describe it as a “breathtaking expansion” of federal authority. The plaintiffs “lobbed their opening volley” Friday in the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit by filing an initial, 192-page brief that lays out “the merits of their case,” The Hill says. The Clean Power Plan “is already on hold, thanks to a surprise Supreme Court order earlier this month,” the article notes, adding that the plan’s opponents “must still make their case” to the Washington, DC appeals court. The brief from the coalition of states and businesses is predicated on the view that the Environmental Protection Agency “has stepped outside the bounds of its authority under the Clean Air Act to limit pollution.”

Do you have kids? If so, I hope you don't assault them with all of your negativity. Reading your posts, one concludes that suicide is the only viable option.
  • QuakerOats
The kids are great; they are old enough and smart enough to understand the debacle in DC; I don't need to chime in much. I just hope there is something left amidst the carnage being wrought that they and their generation can salvage, and possibly build upon for the betterment of the generations ahead.

Do you get a text message or something every time I post?

Definitely time to eliminate the IRS. They target Americans with impunity, they cannot protect Americans data/identity.

    Kill the agency.

$50 million to move some turtles, brought to you by career politicians, bureaucrats and environmental whackos.

And some on here mock Trump supporters as needing mental help.

It is easy to see who needs help.

No wonder Trump has traction: 'we don't win anymore' is right.

Ptown thought it as a great deal, so it's still a great deal.

Obama not going to another important and iconic figure's funeral service. For shame.

Nancy Reagan was/is, arguably, one of the most iconic First Ladies the US has ever had. At the very least, for those who want to maybe parse statistics (snickers), THE most iconic First Lady in our lifetimes.
And yet, Obama is sending Michelle because he's going to the SxSW Festival. He's skipping it again just like he skipped Margaret Thatcher, SCJ Scalia, Chris Kyle, etc.

One thing is clear, if you do not agree with his politics he'll send everybody else that he can think of, but his sorry ass isn't going.

If the optics aren't important, he doesn't go. I mean, how many funerals should the guy attend?

I thought historically funerals was something the VP usually got sent to. Why should be pretty obvious.

Agree that politics should not play into which funerals the POTUS does or doesn't attend. He paid his respects to Scalia, so I don't really care he didn't go to the funeral.

I think people are more upset that he has missed many prominent funerals but will hold a press conference talking about a random police shooting because the victim is black. If you are going to hold a press conference for that, but can't walk down the street to attend a SCOTUS funeral, you're a POS.
  • HitsRus
I don't expect him to attend Nancy Reagan's funeral and I don't care about that. Michelle is going and that's okay. It is a completely different matter with Scalia, who served this country in a high capacity for 30+ years, and , even worse, not to send a single high ranking member in his administration to Margaret Thatcher's funeral.

Meanwhile, this administration's surrender tour goes on ....this time to Cuba.
