The only things he has been good at are creating debt and printing record amounts of food stamps.

Change we can believe in ......
But he did not say that change would come in a week, or month, or year, or even during his term.

I saw something today that I had to laugh at. The town next to mine has about 5000 people MAX. Under Obama's stupid porkulus (it had a sign up) they built a brand new fire station. This may not be too outlandish except the building is huge, and the town does not have an full time fire men. So basically it was more pointless spending, as the old fire station was fine enough to house the 1 or 2 trucks they actually have. I understand in the scheme of things it is little money, but if that is what a ton of projects went towards it was pointless.

I have seen this crap too. In our quaint little town along the Ohio River, the modern, space aged, state-of-th-art new gobblement buildings stick out like a sore penis when sitting alongside the historical buildings that our town is famous for.

Been going on for longer than the last 2 years though.

Obama was in charge when the US lost its AAA rating for the first time in nearly 100 years.

Fair or not, he gets the blame along with Congress. If all of them weren't acting like a bunch of irresponsible teenagers, we might have a better plan for fixing this mess already in place.
  • QuakerOats
The Treasury Secretary should resign today (should have happened long ago); and obama should, at a minimum, announce he will not seek re-election.

Instead, they are shooting the messenger (Tea Party).

Change we can believe in ...........
  • Writerbuckeye
They're simply using Alinsky 101 tactics by villainizing their opponents. Who couldn't have predicted this?

That spew of BS really helped the market make a late rebound

    This guy nailed it:

    http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/08/08/white-house-downgrade-doesnt-matter-unless-its-tea-partys-fault/
“Look at the history of this – the fact of the matter is that this is essentially a Tea Party downgrade. The Tea Party brought us to the brink of a default.”

-- David Axelrod, top political consultant to President Obama, in an appearance on “Face the Nation.”

The decision by Standard and Poor’s to downgrade the rating of U.S. government debt is:

    A) A meritless attack by a biased agency that can’t even do math.

    B) The deserved result of the fiscal recklessness of a conservative cabal inside the Republican Party

    C) Both A and B

For the Obama White House, the answer has been an emphatic, and sometimes confusing, C.

The administration and the president’s re-election campaign have taken a two-pronged counterattack on the credit-rating rip.
David Axelrod is a real piece of work. So first the debt downgrade is no big deal, but now that it is a big deal it's the Tea Party's fault.

President Downgrade can't be replaced soon enough.

Now the radicals are trying to shoot the messengers -- &#$^ ing incredible; they have absolutely zero shame.

The socialists/marxists are doing a fine job of buckling the capitalist economy we once had.

I don't know if we will survive until Nov '12.

Don't worry. The "Yes We Can" leftists are in full meltdown mode plus we now have the Tea Party jihadists in Congress to keep the Bammer in check. Obama's days are numbered.

Psshaw...If the Tea Party were real terrorists they'd take out all the worthless scum in Washington. All talk.

Those of you predicting President Obama's demise might want to think about this:

    http://www.realclearpolitics.com/twitter/archive/message.php?message=100687610011336704&date=1312840771

Also.....he beats a "generic" Republican by 3 in the lateest NBC/Gallup poll after trailing by in the July Poll
  • Writerbuckeye
And we all know that a poll taken this long before an election is 100 percent accurate, right?

Whether or not Obama wins re-election remains to be seen.

What isn't a question at this point is whether he deserves another 4 years.

He's been an abject failure so far.

hey pollster boy, do some homework. dont let the msm do all your thinking for you.

Reagans numbers in 1983, job approval numbers, were going UPPPPPPPP since May of that year. about 44% in may of '83 to a peek of about 63% in Dec of '83 and flat lined at 58% till the election of '84. Obama's have been going down down down down. in fact he (obama) was at about 53-54%in june to his current 47%. thats 6-7% in a month.

Reagan job approvals in aug '83= 52% and rising
Obama job approvals in aug '11= 47% and falling

To continue to compare Reagan to Obama is getting out of hand.

    Unbelievable:

    http://news.yahoo.com/obama-says-inherited-economic-problems-001543865.html

If Obama says the "I" word one more time I'm donating all of what is rest of our bank account to Romney's campaign.

You didn't inherit anything, you ran for office and accepted the position. If you don't want it you can resign. What a horrible, horrible leader.

It's been 2.5+ years. He came sweeping in with a mandate and STRONG Dem control of the House and Senate - nearly ideal circumstances to implement your agenda. At this point, Obama is clearly reaping what he sowed. We really sort of bottomed in Aug 2008 at the peak of the financial crisis. Steps were taken to stabilize things and here we are 3 years later and things are marginally better, at best.

Look how quickly America reversed a large disparity in the House to give control back to the Repubs. That's a pretty strong vote of no confidence in the Obama and Liberal agenda.

The only thing that BHO has in common with Ronald Reagan are that both are Presidents and both are actors....RR acted in movies prior to his political career and BHO is still acting as a President and leader of our country.

Good article in the Wall St yesterday making the comparison --- the takeaway: Reagan inherited economic problems and fixed them; obama's strategy is to blame Bush and S&P.

Won't be the least bit surprised to see Obama popping-up in movies, perhaps even more than a cameo, after being POTUS. Will probably be more profitable than giving motivational speeches, particularly if his teleprompter holds out for more money.

Movies? I don't think so. He'll probably replace Tiger Woods on the PGA tour. He's getting plenty of practice.
