With this group of idiots in charge, a sense of humor is a survival tool these days.

Agreed, I'm still in sort of denial mode.

You know Obama is in trouble when my mom and my grandma, who basically hate the republicans(irrationally I might add), are convinced that Obama doesn't know what he's doing.

I'm not saying the will vote for a Republican, but they probably won't vote at all, which is 2 less votes than the clown got last time.

Well Ms. Market ran to U.S. treasuries today and the talking heads are speaking out of both sides of their mouth saying that the debt deal wasn't serious and how we're in a debt "crisis" but also noting how the market thinks treasury securities are safe. Clearly she is telling us that "deficit, deficit, deficit" is completely and utterly wrong but the people who believe she does no wrong will not listen to what she's saying. Too bad nobody in Congress or the Executive Branch will do anything and Uncle Ben is basically out of useful tools. Financial Markets, surprise, surprise think contractionary policies are contractionary! Meanwhile it looks like the Eurozone could fall apart because the ECB feared 3% inflation. 1937 all over again! If only aliens would invade to convince the proper fiscal response. Onward to a lost decade!

    From the Prez........

"When I said 'change we can believe in' I didn't say 'change we can believe in tomorrow.' Not change we can believe in next week. We knew this was going to take time because we've got this big, messy, tough democracy," President Obama said at a campaign fundraiser in Chicago on Wednesday night.

How's your 401k doin today? Feel like an eeevil rotten scumbag rich guy today?

While the Left and MSM shovel the debt compromise pablum and tell us it's great medicine, those who invest their money clearly aren't buying their bullshit.

What's next Barry? What's your plan? What's your answer? Today, millions if Americans got kicked in the nards and Barry is too busy celebrating his birfday and raising $$$ so he can get 4 more years to continue his onslaught of our groins. Hope and fucking change, eh???

    ^^^

I think that was a bit harsh. That said, Obama needs to fall on his sword, he's incompetent and the country will continue to suffer while he's in office. There is no confidence in the American economy currently, we need strong leadership and government action (or inaction) that builds businesses and industries, not the opposite. What is getting us out of this mess? Social networking?

I can't see much other than green energy, which still has a ways to go to be competitive enough without govt subsidy. We should really crank-up the coal production and fire up the coal-to-gasoline plants. That kills two birds with one stone - jobs AND lessen our dependence on foreign oil. Of course, that's not the kind of jobs the liberals want, and the EPA isn't going to allow much of it.

This week, only 400,000 new applications for unemployment were made instead of the expected 401,000. Using the same math for these numbers that they use for calculating budget cuts (baseline budgeting), we SAVED 1,000 jobs.
    Mission Accomplished!!!!!

Tax dollars at work, under the guise of "Universal HealthCare". I wonder if the ObamaKare people are reading this, and do it in our Country soon, too:

    Harsh, eh?

Here's harsh: Just checked my 401k and it's worth $10,000 less than just a week ago. I'm not going to go through what I did in 2008 and "let it ride" all the way down 50% this time. I'm certain my losses pale in comparison to those who are much closer to retirement age. Barry inspires no confidence, gives no assurances, provides zero leadership, and has basically hidden since he signed his grand compromise debt legislation in secrecy.

I'm not blaming him solely for my losses this past week, but he IS responsible for the wanton disregard for fiscal stability and providing incentives for business to hold tight to their money. In this recessionary business environment we find ourselves, he has no clue as to how to turn it around as he and Bernacke are out of socialist ammunition. Their cure isn't working and won't work. They need to try a completely different brand of medicine and they refuse. The real question is, why won't they?

    Two reasons......

    1. They do not know how. Both are completely overmatched in their job responsibilities....especially BHO. No experience, no leadership, no knowledge of what it takes to run anything except a campaign.

    2. Too narcissistic to admit they don't know what to do to fix the economy and will not listen to any experts who do.

He does inspire fear and uncertainty, which is what is tanking the markets and preventing economic growth. When he continues to threaten tax increases (which are coming in 2013 in mass proportion) and refuses to rein in the over-regulators that he has appointed, this is exactly what you get. By EVERY economic metric things are much worse because of him and his radical policies.

    You forgot:

    3. It's being done on purpose. I'm not saying I've taken that position, but it's worth asking: If he were purposely trying to wreck the economy, what would he be doing differently?

He did what every other president has done over the past 40 years or so. Deficit spend, keep tax rates low, print gobs of money, and reduce the prime lending rate as low as possible. Maybe even start a stupid war or 2.

Obama gets blamed...as all other presidents have...when the economy tanks. Ford and Carter both got blamed for stagflation...even though neither president had ANYTHING to do with cause of stagflation.

The factual analysis is rather simple:

Unemployment under obama: worse, much worse

Deficits under obama: worse, much worse

Debt under obama: worse, much worse

Dependency under obama: worse, much worse

Regulation under obama: worse, much worse

Dollar under obama: worse, much worse

GDP under obama: worse, much worse

Gas prices under obama: worse, much worse

Unemployment among blacks: worse, much worse

    Poverty rate: worse, much worse

The only things he has been good at are creating debt and printing record amounts of food stamps.
