Wildbear wrote: It was kind of deceptive too. Take like Yost from Wooster, loses, pins out to 3rd. What happened? Either he's got some hydration problems or guess he got caught. Kenmore kid did about the same at upper weight. Where was Garland McCormick? Congrats to Stitzline and thought for sure Volgelhuber would take it but definitely some tough kids out there. We all know who McClay is from Massillon! The WIT is no Ironman for sure but is a good early season back yarder to get things rolling. Lighten up 1_beast, your loaded! And I won't say with what :D .
Not loaded at all WildBear....havent been in over a year. But the competition of the past is clearly non prevailant. The Powers of the past have diminshed ...Southeast, Ashalnd, Waynedale...just to name a few....i know Ashland is there but since weisenstein left...hence did the program.

A great thing for the titans...the future is very bright!!!!

1-beast, Good luck tomarrow nite , Iam sure you will kill us again and it wont even be close even with our line up being vastly improved and moved around . Please in advance take it easy on us with your post match analyst after the total massacre that is sure to reoccur. Please show us a little mercy in this over matched home debut. Iam sure it will be a miracle to break the measly 14 points we scored the last time. In advance thank you for your kindness and good will.
  • 1_beast
Falcon...i see you have attended the Lou Hotlz School of....well "Holtzing". lol You know damn well with your missing guys in the lineup and a few different matchups that you have a shot at winning this dual. That is why i didnt say much after the 1st "fluke" win. We were lucky! ;) As for tomorrow....tell your boys to take it easy on us. Whatta you feed them kids.....the secrets out on the Waynedale jello....but where does that aggressive meanstreak come from???
  • swinginahammer
Well it's coming up on that time of year- "Tis the season of bumping" some teams will have this affect dramatically others not so much. So.........let the good times roll and the chips fall where they may. It's always interesting to see if your team made the right or wrong choice by bumping up or down. Has it helped or hurt you in the past? Thoughts on this......with the weight allowance it could get crazy again this year.
  • falcon81
Ok , lets give Waynedale their due ! They spanked us again (Tuslaw)! I've never seen so many kids quit in the 3rd period. 4 of those matches should have and could have gone the other way bur Waynedale simply showed more heart when push came to shove . Hats off to them again , I still think we can make up some ground by sectionals, the practice room shall improve . Good Luck Bears, you earned some respect tonite.
  • titan_wrestler
Bears are definitely LOADED....whatever else BEAST may say in his thinnly-veiled attempts of humility. They spanked us last week and we ended up having a good showing at the WIT (even if the competition was diluted) Good luck to the Bears...maybe we too can catch a few of them at sectionals
  • Bears89
The Bears looked good tonight! Alot of matches were nail-biters but with officials that had no clue what they were doing i guess that made for some of the reason why they were close! With "decent" officiating I dont think Tuslaw even gets 16pts. IMO anyway!!!
  • 1_beast
I thought the officiating was absolutely the worst. lol I think Chase hired them off barstools from LaMoores!!!

Thanks Falcon, nice talking to you tonight. I honestly thought the dual would be closer....was surprised by the lack af aggressiveness. Alot of questionable calls and no calls both ways...takedowns, NF-2, NF3....STALLING. The match at 145 i thought should have NEVER went to overtime, if the ref calls stalling. Then the last match of the night stalling called in OT to decide the match. Just HORRIBLE!!!!!

    Heres the rundown:

    WAYNEDALE 45 TUSLAW 16....I THINK???

103 Coblentz (W) over Kuhlins 11-4 ...scappy match
112 Harter (W) over Perez 3-1 OT ...freshman wrestled tough
119 Nelson (T) forfeit.... exciting lol
125 Marthey (T) over Parrot 11-2... Freshman refused to quit
    130 Widder(W) over Everhart 8-4...whats to say..
135 Nelson (T) over Petersheim 2-1 in OT on a bullshit stalling call...hate to see a match in OT end that way
    140 Stanley (W) over Blair 8-0...nice match
145 Logan (T) over Lewis 3-1 in OT REF REFUSED TO CALL STALLING---
    152 McCluggage (W) over Everhart 10-1...McCluggage dominated
160 Z Beam (W) over Mann 10-4 ...not even close...
171 Siegel (W) over Remeneric 8-2....more of the above
189 J Beam (W) over Sanor PIN...what do you expect?
215 Mullins (W) over Grubb PIN...Grubb winning 5-3? late in 3rd...Mullins sticks him
    285 Gove (W) over Myers PIN...heavyweights....

Just seemed to lack the hunger. Seemed to be a lot of running out of bounds. Couldnt really catch a groove when you restart 15 times each match....again, I really thought this would end closer than the 1st time we met. Disappointed in the pee wee league officials.

GREAT JOB BEARS!!!! 13-0 IN DUALS
  • Bears89
Beast! That might explain the lack of cars at LaMoors! and even on Karioke/rap night! Who was the kid "little beast" wrestled?
  • falcon81
No offense beast but I dont see how you can complain about the stalling call ! Your kid takes 1 shot now in the last 12 min he has wrestled Zane . He has been hit with stalling in both matches , it was long over due to finally get hit with a point. Throw in the Obvious Takedown not given to Zane , The at least 8 times your guy ran out of bounds as he was taken down. Sorry squezzing a guys elbows for dear life , hips back, running backwards , and playing the line for now 7 periods( i agree with your strategy) but .... Stalling , Your full Of BS to say otherwise but I still like you ,your just blinded by that bright golden glow deep in your soul. You guys looked great last nite, I look for you guys to do bigger things than the pundits give you credit for.
  • rtherthrwyathnknwya
Convincing a bear fan that his guy is stalling is like convincing me that ABBA is a great band. It may be totally true, I just can't believe it. Even if his guy is a dancing queen, you're always going to take a chance calling stalling. When all is said and done typically the match goes the right way even if you're not head over heels about the ref.
  • 1_beast
Falcon...totally agree If you dont put yourself in that situation its not an issue. My issues wasnt so much with the call, as it was deserved(screw you raththrowyathannowya..im about to hit you with a laterral drop...lol). My issue is the Bears needed track shoes last night because Tuslaw wrestled the line/ran out ALL NIGHT, and the drunkard from LaMoores didnt see fit to call. But then decides a match on a stall that really could've went both ways. Zane was throwing in the underhooks and holding on, or front headlock ...you know how I feel...lol. Just wish we had a 119 for Zach to get some matches, hate giving that free 6.

As for the Pundits...ehh they're are probably right, (no offense) but Bears just arent good....wrestle a weak schedule. ;)

    ABBA fan beast?
  • 1_beast
Love em...and anyone who say they arent great dont know music or wrestling. lol A few years back Bears state runner-up Steve Ebie was quoted in the paper as having Celine Dion on the MP3 as warm up music. If Celine Dion dont get you pumped up...you might as well just quit now. :D
  • Red Rum
Jesus!!!...I'm out of town for a few days and come back to find everyone talking about Celine Dion & ABBA. What's next, Is Beast going to change his name to "fernando" and start carrying a purse (excuse me "Man Bag"). Then everytime someone stalls, he can throw it at the ref.

The WIT was really weak this year, very few marquee matches. Some new blood is needed for 2010. Congrats to Triway.

As far as the WCAL goes, Bears are looking way tough. The Huskies need alot of help from Chippewa & Norwayne if they are going to stop the 4-peat.

there is nothing wrong with a "man bag"....AND todays paper stated that ABBA is up for induction into the Rock HOF....thank you very much. lmao
Read Bucksman report...we wrestle a weak schedule, underachievers. ::SIGH:::blush:
  • Red Rum
I wouldn't worry too much about Bucksman, he admits he doesn't pay much attention to D3, he cut & pasted my NW sectional predictions last year as one of his reports on Yappi.

For the last time, ABBA sucks!!!, if Ebie would have been rockin some Iron Maiden, he would have won state!

Anybody know what day the Daily Record has the wrestling stats page?
  • Wildbear
I thought it use to be on Wednesday's. Maybe it's too early yet.
  • 1_beast
Rumors in the stands is Hershey designed a new singlet for the HUskies....coinciding with the new singlet....these suits pictured, worn by the ggggreeat ABBA, are going to be similiar to the new warmups ......:D
AND COACH CHAD WILL ATTEMPT TO GAME UP THAT HAIRSTYLE

Beast you're the best! Thanks for giving me a good laugh before I head home for the weekend. Is that how you used to roll back in the day?

Yes indeed we know who Mcclay from Massilon is! Real tough kid and only a freshmen. The finals match at WIT between him and Grier was a great match to watch! Both kids looked real tough...

Tuslaw beats Triway 58-16 for 3rd in the pac duals . Manchester beat Triway 39-36 in simi's . Tuslaw defiantly should have took 2nd if in the other half of bracket. Bobby Mann, Treg grubb, Zack and Zane Nelson all go undefeated.Tuslaw beats Indian Valley 47-24. Loses to CVCA 49-19 in simi's. You do have to Question the WIT tournament with these results.

Well, I will say that Triway had 4 starters out at the Pac-7 duals today.....

I don't mean to diminish Triways achievement winning WIT, I mean to imply that this tournament is not what it use to be in the early 80's. I have always felt Triway has a good solid staff and always some kids that make an impact at state.

Bears lose 1st dual of the season to Chanel...Not sure of the score. Beat Cuyahoga Heights. Bears move to 14-1 on the year.
On a side note, the Jr high Bears wrestled at Tuslaw today. Not a bad showing, but man was my son pissed, went 5-0 with 4 pins and a 16-0 TF and they gave him a 2nd place medal. I gues they pool style/or whatever it was was not organized, Tourney director had our $$ but didnt have us or Coventry on the bouts. The skinny of it is...some other kid had a 5-0 day and had 5 pins??? Or they flipped a coin(this was a way they was determining who got what place). Very disappointing to go 5-0 and receive 2nd.

Best wishes to Kyle Waddell, tough lil guy broke his arm today.

Hopefully wildbear or someone else can get on here and give updates on the Varsity mtaches this evening
