Interesting...but I guess you won't see that one. Looks like Raber's going 189 again. Lamberg 171. I see a Yost (Wooster), Drake (Triway) rematch. Also very interesting at 145 with Garabrandt (New Phily) in the top half with Trey Jacobs (West Holmes)...ouch! Could see a Grier(Norwayne)-Tanner(Smithville) match up. I predict Stitzline (West Holmes)140 and Volglehuber (Dalton)135 as champs. Might be a good matchup at 215 with Schafrath(Doylestown) against Stewart(Kenmore). Kid's rolling around with Lamberg all the time's gotta be good! -

Thanks for the link. Made for good reading over lunch. I can't help picking, if you click on pairings the records that were used for seeding is there. Schafrath & Paul Kelbly are listed as 0-46 & 0-32 respectively. I'm one of those geeks who likes to giggle at little errors.Wildbear wrote: http://ww2.green-local.k12.oh.us/shs/ACTIVITIES/SPORTS/Winter/wrestling/WIT/WIT.htm

Reminds me of a story. I was wresling at the Black River tourney and there was a sign posted written by hand pointing where the home fans are supposed to sit. It was supposed to read Pirate Fans, only the P had been ripped off. I think that its a great idea to place all the "irate Fans" in one place. -

Wow! You think Fortune will hold at 160 for the WCAL? Good luck to area teams at the WIT. Bears heading into the big valley (Indian) country. Probable face off with Louisville, another strong Stark County team. Bears draw West Jefferson first round at D-3 duals... ouch! -
WildbearAny updates on the WIT?? Just returned home from Indian Valley Duals. Bears go 5-0 with very tough victories over Indian Valley and runner-up Louisville. Should have results later.
-
titan_wrestlerTriway won the team title only winning one maych in the final round...Drake champion at 152. Flinner and byler place 2nd. Hamm, Nigh, Wade and Duncan finish 4th. Fields takes 6th. Great tournament for first year coach Hartzler. Raber was MVP and looked tough
-
Wildbeartitan_wrestler- thanks for the update! Congrads to the team. Good job Cole Drake! How did the Jacobs-Garabrandt match go?

buddyCongrats to the titans on their WIT championship and to the coaching staff!!
-
1_beastnot to take anything from Triway...a great achievement!!! But I seriosly have to question the level of competition after the tri-meet wednesday night...im am shocked that they walked outta there withe the title.
-
mt1514Beast,
Your right about the level of competition. Lamberg,Hall, Shafrath,Raber had no competition at all. Jacobs did with Garbrandt, but they were on same end of bracket, because Garbrandt did not wrestle last year he did not get seeded. There was some decent competition in the low weights, a freshman massillon kid beat Greir at 112. Bouman from Norwayne looked real strong,Drake looked good as well. Hall is a terror. -
WildbearIt was kind of deceptive too. Take like Yost from Wooster, loses, pins out to 3rd. What happened? Either he's got some hydration problems or guess he got caught. Kenmore kid did about the same at upper weight. Where was Garland McCormick? Congrats to Stitzline and thought for sure Volgelhuber would take it but definitely some tough kids out there. We all know who McClay is from Massillon! The WIT is no Ironman for sure but is a good early season back yarder to get things rolling. Lighten up 1_beast, your loaded! And I won't say with what .

I think they found the Kool-aid stash in Apple Creek Wednesday night!
