That’s wild. I actually guessed him thinking he hit more triples than that regularly.

Yeah, I would've expected more consistently high seasons.
Ironman said it was cool if I popped one in here. Since he's coming back on Monday, I figured I'd drop on in.
QUESTION #11:
There are only six players to have hit 30+ HRs in ten or more consecutive seasons, and only one is in the Hall of Fame: Jimmie Foxx. Who are the other five?
HINT: They're all post-1970.
Highish HR guys not in the HOF.
Dale Murphy
Fred McGriff
Wait. Or active, not yet eligible players.
Pujols
Manny Ramirez
Sosa or McGwire
Yes to Pujols. No to McGriff and Murphy.
Yes to Sosa. No to Manny (9) and McGwire (injuries, or he might have).
Question edited for accuracy (I missed one).
We've got Pujols and Sosa.
Three more.
Thome?
Arod?
Barry Bonds
Palmero?
Delgado?
Pujols
Sosa
Arod
Bonds
.....not positive on the 5th
Bundy got it with Delgado. Despite not finishing with 500 career HRs, he did in fact string together 10 consecutive seasons of 30 or more HRs.
Bonds, Sosa, Delgado, A-Rod, and Pujols are the five to do it after Jimmie Foxx.
QUESTION #12:
This player only managed 1 HR during his 21-year career. The pitcher who gave up that HR? His brother.
Name the batter.

I knew Palmeiro didn’t have 10 but had 8 or 9 straight 35+

Yeah. Palmiero, Manny, Thome, and a few others put together 9.
The surprise to me was McGwire topping out at 6.

Joe Niekro given up by Phil?

That's it.
I wondered if that would be too easy.

I was going to answer Duane Kuiper but didn’t think he had a brother that played and then the 21 years threw me to both of these guys being pitchers....
QUESTION #12:
Babe is rumored to have called his shot with a point of the bat, but another player is said (with some corroborating evidence) to have announced to the stands that he would hit a home run in his pinch hit at-bat, which he then proceeded to do. Who was it?
HINT: He's also the last player to have ever intentionally stolen first base from second base.
Carlos Delgado is one of the most underrated players of the last 25 years.
