Question #260

Which one of the 7 Rockies stars never had either a 40+ HR or a 40+ doubles in a season (not same seasons)

I legit cannot think of any that didn't.

But I guess Castillo? Pretty sure he hit 40 a few times though.

  • Helton - Obviously. Over 50 2Bs twice and 40/50 club.
  • Galaragga had a monster 45+ HR year
  • Arenando over 40 HRs a few times recently
  • Walker won a damn MVP. He hit over 40 HRs and 2Bs
  • Ellis Burks went 40/40
  • CarGo never hit 40+ HRs I don't think, but I know he got over 40 2Bs.

I'm convinced they all had 40+ 2Bs or HR at in a season for Rockies.

In that case I go Cargo. I think he had 40 HR, but not 40+...

Galarraga was older on Colorado. Maybe couldn’t leg out 40 doubles lol?

From age 32-36

In 1996 he had 47 HR, 150 RBI, but only 39 doubles to finish 6th in MVP race

Kluber doesn’t fit any of those categories, but shockingly would be close on all of them lol.

Jimmy Key? Cone? McDowell (99% sure he was over 20 once).

Key the one who never won the Cy....runner up in 87 and 94....in 94 he had 17 wins but missed out on 9-10 starts due to strike

That’s an unreal stat. How do you have nearly 200 games of 6IP and 3ER or less...and even get lucky ONCE!

He likely had a couple hindered wins doing it....but crazy how many losses he took while pitching well

Question #262

This former MLB pitcher has multiple wins and saves as a teenager, was top 5 Cy voting 2x but only a 1x all-star....even though he was top 7 in ERA 7x and runner up twice. Did not win a game from July of 1995 until late April 2002, but then won 5 games that year.

Name him
