Dwight Evans the only eligible NON HOFer to have been an active HR leader....and he was in parts of 2 seasons.

Since 1921 10 different MLB players held the title of active career HR leader during 5 or more seasons (could be partial seasons...ex May of 1978 player A was the active career HR leader but player B passed him  and never looked back that season. Player A and player B would both get credit for being the active leader during that season.
