Oh it’s Belle. Duh. And yeah, the way he was going, 60/60 was in play lol.

Yep.  1995 Albert Belle had 103 XBHs in just 143 games.  That year for him was the 3rd highest XBH/G and 4th highest XBH/AB season of anyone all-time.  The only two guys higher in both categories were both members of Murderer's Row (Ruth and Gehrig), and the only other guy with a higher XBH/AB season was Bonds when he set the HR record.

Question #98

Borrowing from the above question, only one other player has done it since 1948 (and it was post 1990).  Also not a HOFer.

HINT: I think this player's year has a strong case for the best hitting year of the modern era.

Mo Vaughn?

Good lord, that was fast.  WTF  LOL

Bonds - 107
Helton - 105
Sammy - 103
Luis - 100

I’ve got a good number memory and I’ve been on the baseball stats pretty hard the last week

Fair point.  Still, to be dead-on with all four is impressive.

I knew 2001 was Bonds year of 73 or whatever lol. I knew that was definitely dirty Luis Gonzalez only huge year and won the WS even...karma doesn’t always get you. I knew Sosa was hitting 60 still and Helton is always the guess for new age 100 extra base hits

I actually really love the process of inductive reasoning here.

Question #99

List these 6 HOFers in saves during the 10 year period from 1977-1986. From most to least and must include 6 players in your answer.

I’ve included their career timelines of when they played.

Rollie Fingers (1968-1986)

Don Sutton (1964-1988)

Dennis Eckersley (1975-1998)

Goose Gossage (1972-1994)

Bruce Sutter (1976-1988)

Jim Palmer (1965-1984)

So you are telling me that either Fingers or Eckersley had no saves after 1976?
