Which is the only OTHER Hall of Fame pitcher to win 20+ games in his final season?
Hint: He's also top-10 in no-hitters.
Koufax won like 26 his last season I think

Yep. I remember watching him as a kid. Never was an Orioles fan, but he just seemed WAY too good to get as piss-poor run support as he did in Baltimore.

Yep. I figured that'd be a quick one.
And he's #2 in no-hitters with (I think) four.

I’m ready for national baseball trivia competition I feel. I’ve worn out baseball reference researching these questions and when I get irritated and stumped on answers.
Question #96
Most players end their careers with more doubles than home runs. These six non-pitching Hall of Famers since 1969 didn't. Who are they?

So no one that played before 1970 correct?
Reggie, Schmidt, Thome, Chipper, Piazza?
Thomas
Bagwell?

Correct.

You got half of them. Thome is #1 with 161 more homers than doubles. Schmidt is #2 with 140 more. Piazza is #4 with 83 more.
Looking for #3, #5, and #6.

Bagwell?
Thomas is #5. 26 more homers than doubles.
Bags had 39 more doubles than homers.
Vlad?
Bench?
Griffey duh

Bench?
Vlad just missed. He's actually the closest to even with more doubles at 28.
Bench started in 1967.

Yep. The Kid is #3 on the list with 106 more bombs than doubles.
Jim Rice?
Fun tidbit, despite being so high on the list, Griffey is the only one on the list who also has over 500 doubles, and he ranks #5 all-time in XBHs among HOFers (below just Mays, Ruth, Musial, and Hank).

Yep. Finished with just 9 more HRs than doubles. Nice pick!
Frank Thomas?

He did. Ironman got him. They were Thome, Schmidt, Griffey, Piazza, Thomas, and Rice (in that order).

Surprises me but he had a bunch of triples and he was not fast so those off the monster often held him to singles
Question #97
There have only been 12 people in major league history, Hall of Fame or not, who have finished a season with over 100 extra-base hits.
Four of those guys did it in 2001, the last year it's happened. Who are they?

Good lord, that was fast. WTF LOL
Bonds - 107
Helton - 105
Sammy - 103
Luis - 100
Question #98
Borrowing from the above question, only one other player has done it since 1948 (and it was post 1990). Also not a HOFer.
HINT: I think this player's year has a strong case for the best hitting year of the modern era.
Granderson?
Oh it’s Belle. Duh. And yeah, the way he was going, 60/60 was in play lol.
