I would take Jaylon Smith in a millisecond to help with our LB pass coverage.

Browns could be a front runner for him. How about Stephon Gilmore? Pats just released him a few minutes ago. Although with the play of the corners and Gilmore's price tag, I'd think there would be more interest in Smith.

Less of a need, but talents talent.
Have heard there was a drop off in Jaylon Smith's play and with the addition of Micah Parsons and Vander Esch's return he became expendable. Plus he was getting paid well and Dak comes before any LB. Sounds like Smith may have lost a step.

He's still rated extremely high in pass coverage, which is where Browns would need the help.
PFF has him ranked 11th overall (even if you don't agree with PFF, its not nothing). That ranking is due mostly to his coverage numbers this season. Rush defense he has lost his quick first step and has taken bad gaps to the carrier. Both of those problems are basicallu moot in pass coverage though.

I've come around to PFF. They aren't the end all, be all but they have value. If he's still good in coverage he's worth kicking the tires on.
Speaking of which, PFF's first quarter all-pro team. Five 1st team Browns and one 2nd team (Kicker, like anyone's beating out Justin Tucker?)

NFL Network is reporting that Baker has been playing with a partially torn labrum in his left shoulder.

Saying it doesn't need surgery. But doesn't that mean he will be playing all season with this? I didn't think a torn labrum could heal/re-attach on its own.

Yep and I'm not sure if it can get worse if opponents start targeting it. Might not need surgery now but bet he will later. I'm assuming even if it could heal itself that it wouldn't during the season with the hits he'll take.

OBJ says he’d had one for 10 years but doesn’t want surgery. Says it hurts like shit and it pops out occasionally.
No rocket science but the Browns have to establish the run today. Bolts are giving up almost 150/ypg on the ground and the Browns haven't rushed for less than 150 yards in a game. LA's game plan should be to bottle up the run and try to make Baker beat them deep. They know he has a bum wing that's affecting him. I'd keep the Chargers defense honest with a deep ball on the first play.
No Jed Wills so the rookie, Hudson, will likely have the task of limiting Bosa. Last time these teams played the DC for the Chargers moved Bosa & Ingram to DT and rushed them up the middle.
GO BROWNS !!!
Odell wth?
Fuck refs. Fuck everything. Robots or bust.
Damn, Herbert could end-up being REALLY good. Lot about his game reminds me of a young Roethlisberger.
But it will be tough playing in the same division as Mahomes, whom is probably the most gifted QB I've ever seen. By a good margin.
The key to this game is who will successfully run out the clock! Brown's had a chance and failed, Chargers then had a chance and were doing well until the Brown's novel strategy to drag them into the EZ to give them more than a minute to score a TD for the win!
What the fuck was that last drive? Awful. Can’t believe they lost this.

FUCK Stefanski and his personnel decisions ! EVERY time they have a shot to eat up the clock in the 4th quarter he trots lil Kareem Hunt out there when he has a battering ram in Chubb who could fall forward 3 plays in a row and get the 1st down. I've been grinding my teeth about this shit since last year. Chubb disappears on the bench in crunch time and Hunt is easily bottled up.

Enjoy the basement.
Just thrilled PIT is still in the hunt....
But CLE finally looks like they've arrived. Lost a few games they probably should have won, but they're well coached and closing out games.
Still not sold on Mayfield, but otherwise that team is absolutely a contender.

Can't keep me down....unlike the Browns

We sure did let that one get away.
Now, we have to scratch and claw to try to make the playoffs.
Of course, in my mind, we should be 5-0.
But……..Cleveland.

Young offense with a new OC....they SHOULD get better.
So, objectively, Roethislerger and Tomlin have never had a losing season....and would have NEVER missed the playoffs in the current 7-team format.
So, objectively, you're a moron.
