He is so good at run defense. Need our LBs to be better/healthy to fill the gaps he creates.

Saw a report that he only resigned because Baker is not coming back.

Had heard that was a condition with Landry too but he went to New Orleans.
Sounds like Njoku will be locked up to a long-term deal shortly.
So Watson claims he only assaulted 19 women.
Maybe less than 20 is only a misdemeanor
Njoku locked up for 4 years, $56.75M, 28M guaranteed. Seems a bit pricey for his limited production but the front office seems to think he's going to take off with Watson at QB and the changes in the offense.
Lifelong Browns fan here.
It is very hard to get behind the team in light of Watson’s issues. It’s not that the rest of the NFL is as pure as the wind-driven snow. It’s just that this appears to be such a flagrant “fuck you” to all that is good and decent. Browns fans will certainly not be able to look down their noses at questionable judgements by other teams (e.g. Rapistberger)

Nope. Had to hear smugness from Yinzer fans for years, laughing at the Browns, while meanwhile they were supporting, and more times than not, defending a rapist.
Am I happy Watson has the allegations against him? Again, nope...but will not find it hard supporting a TEAM that I've rooted for since I was 7 years old and have no plans on giving up on them.

Roethlisberger was never even arrested, much less potentially indicted. The first accusation was complete BS, which seemed to be triggered by a wrongful termination suit. The second was aware of the first, and seemed to be triggered by some angry sorority sisters. Rumor had it she lied to police, which is why it suddenly got dropped like a hot potato. The cops on the scene recognized it for exactly what it was - drunken looseness. Never would have seen the light of day if not for a leak to TMZ (which likely came from said sorority sister). Her interrogation video was publicly released - she definitely wasn't assaulted. Even the DA attributed it all to "bad decisions from too much alcohol". So, no, not rape.
Watson is not even comparable. Actual serial rapists don't just have 1-2 accusations. Watson is a completely different level, Bill Cosby/Harvey Weinstein category. But if believing Roethlisberger is a rapist lets you support Watson, then have at it.

Roethlisberger had 3 accusers and his "transgressions" went all the way back to high school. He settled out of court. Don't really want to hear it as you've been slobbering all over his knob in his defense where no other Steeler fan on this site has. From my view, they are both turds.
Per Source: Browns and Saints had preliminary trade talks for QB Baker Mayfield. The Saints asked new WR acquisition Jarvis Landry about Mayfield and he advocated against the move which stopped all trade talks. #Browns #Saints

Wow ^^^^^^^^ interesting.

I'm starting to think, besides the high guaranteed salary, that Baker not being traded is more due to his personality than his on the field skill set.

To be fair, Watson was never close to being arrested either…
There is no source or anything leading me to believe that Tweet is real lol.
I could see Landry not advocating, considering there is sources out there saying he wasnt coming back with Baker and was open to it after Watson was traded for. But I dont think that was the case. I doubt the Saints had any notion for Baker after the Jameis was back in fold.
Many players obviously don't like Baker. For someone who is not a hardcore Browns follower - just a casual fan - what is his problem?

He seems to run a lot of people the wrong way. I've heard "fake leader" or "not a leader at all" when describing him.

He seems like he’s poison throughout the entire league. I got that he and OBJ had problems, but I never realized he was reviled like he is. Goes to show that what you see on Sunday is only the tip of the iceberg.
Watson has a new accuser making it 23 total now.
Baker is a wannabe hardo who’s just ok at the NFL level. That worked for him in college, it doesn’t with grown men.
^^^^pretty much nailed it. Doesn't work with grown men.
I feel justified that Baker was more the issue than OBJ. Who was genuinely a good teammate for as long as humanly possible lol.
Is Baker still living at the stadium?

Wondering if Austin Hooper fell off the map for the same reason (Mayfield).
