In MMQB, John Dorsey was named one of the "winners" of this draft. Also a very shitty, and disturbing, blurb on the Josh Allen tweets. Sounds like teams that wanted Allen to fall to them dug these tweets up at the 11th hour.

No one made him send those tweets. No sympathy from me.

Feeling better & better about the Baker Mayfield pick after hearing that a bunch of teams wanted him. Sounded like the Cardinals were willing to trade up to 4, and give up a 2019 1st rounder, but the only player they'd trade up for was Mayfield.

Sounds like Haley will tailor more of a WCO to Taylor & Mayfield, which makes sense. He doesn't have the bigger, strong armed QB (TheRapist, Kurt Warner) to work with.

Sirius was talking about the Callaway pick. They said that sometimes you roll the dice on a player with off the field issue but you NEVER trade up for one. This one's a huge risk/reward type pick. Dorsey definitely doesn't have issues going after the problem children.

MMQB....A lot of Browns stuff in here. Looks like they took Ward over Chubb in that a) Gregg Williams feels that Ward's press coverage will give the DE's time to get to the QB and b) sounds like Williams is really high on Ogbah and feels he can be as good as Chubb...

Not sure if you guys discussed it or not already but Twitter seems pretty certain the Browns will be on Hard Knocks this year.

I heard rumors about this weeks before the draft.  I hope it is true.

Had heard this. Should be interesting.

I'd like to know who Florio's source was on this because I'm pretty skeptical. I don't take Dorsey as some who'd change his mind, last second...

Florio is normally pretty credible, but I have a hard time believing this one.  If Dorsey had his mind made up 2 weeks prior for the #1 pick, I highly doubt he made a last minute change for the #4.  It sounds like all of these guys in the FO spent hours to agree on one guy.  I can't see Dorsey flipping the script on all of them suddenly.

No sympathy from me, because he still is going to make millions,  he still got drafted in the top 10, and most importantly he isn't on the Browns roster.  Other than that, LOL at anyone who legitimately got upset over a dumbass 13-14 year old's tweets.  Other than Con_Alma I think it's safe to say we all have said and done some stupid shit when we were young.

I am not familiar with Callaway's story.  Other than smoking the weeeedduh is there anything else that actually makes him a POS?  If it's just him getting into illegal substances, then I have a hard time calling him a POS.

Wellp, that would be considered problematic.  Much worse than anyone getting their panties in a bunch over tweets from a 14 year old.

Yeah I don’t GAF about the weed stuff, it’s the domestic violence that I’m not a fan of. Between him and the DB we took who was suspended for 2.5 seasons due to someone taking the ACT for him and for robbing a dorm floor, we took some controversial players on Day 3.

I’m not shocked though. Dorsey has a history of taking talented questionable players. Sometimes it works out sometimes it don’t

Also if anyone has Facebook look up behind baker. It’s about 10 episodes and it’s a behind the scenes of mayfield through the combine and everything else. It’s a pretty good watch

Episode 9 was a great day watch (where he got drafted). Was cool to see him get emotional for a minute then immediately ask for the playbook to be sent so he can get to work.

One thing I like about mayfield, he really doesn’t want to sit. He wants to start day 1. I hope it happens because that would mean he already beat out a decent NFL QB.

That seriously gave me chills watching that one. It was awesome! It’s also nice to hear a lot of teams had mayfield as there number 1 Qb.

If he beats out Tyrod this training camp, I will be pretty optimistic about the Browns' future.

I honestly think he will. He’s done it every where he’s been. Walks on to Texas tech and beats out Davis Webb. Leaves there walkson to Oklahoma and beats out trever night who was a 2 year starter and just led them to a rose bowl win. Now that’s not the NFL but the way he understands schemes so quickly is pretty remarkable

I know you know this, but the NFL is a different animal. I’m confident in baker, but I’m not going to say because he won the Texas tech and Oklahoma starting jobs that he can do the same in the NFL.

I know Dorsey has a solid track record of choosing malcontents who end up turning it around but when he picked some of these guys I was thinking "damn, the Browns are going all Ravens/Bengals with these picks."

Sirius was talking about him (Callaway) and one of the guys said 'I wonder if Josh Gordon could mentor him considering all that he's been through?" Almost drove off the road laughing.

Not sure if Mayfield will be the week 1 starter but I'm pretty certain he will end up seeing the field this year. Not sure I'd say that about Darnold or Allen. I do think Rosen will play too as Glennon flat out sucks and Bradford is a china doll.

I hope I'm dead wrong, but I just don't have a good feeling about Mayfield...unless Dorsey and the rest of the Cleveland brass felt he was a franchise QB and could lead us to multiple SB's, there was no good reason to draft him #1. That being said, I have to trust that's the case, as I'm sure they did a helluva lot more research than I did. However, the thought of Barkley at 1 and Darnold/Rosen/Mayfield at 4 still makes me wonder what if...

Mayfield doesn't make it to 4. Giants would've taken him at 2 and Jets would've taken him at 3. He was the top QB on both their boards. Dorsey's known for a while that Mayfield was his guy. I'm thrilled they didn't use the #1 overall pick in the draft on a RB.
