This team easily could’ve been 7-5-1....SMH
It's hard to not think "what if" every time they get a W. 7-5-1 is being very conservative too. They could have been at 9 wins right now. At this point I am more than convinced this was a playoff team minus Hue. We are going to look at the 2 AFC wildcard teams and think the Browns would have been better.
I just hope this makes these young guys very hungry going into next season.

Just keep winning, Mayfield, and the fans will come. With all the shitty teams and bullshit surrounding the organization over the last twenty years, the attendance has been above and beyond what this team has deserved.
...and fwiw, my son and I attend at least one game a year, and the fans have been terrific--year in and year out
I had a couple buddies at the game Sunday and they said it was rocking. Yeah a few empty seats, but well more fans than usual in December, which says a lot considering this is their first 5 win season in years. As you said, keep winning and things will change no doubt. Browns fans are fine and will continue to show their support. If we didn't bail on them the last 10+ years (especially the last two), I think we will be fine. Hell, fucking Steelers fans bailed on their team after a couple 8-8 seasons after numerous playoff seasons. The first sign the Bengals are going to the playoffs their fans immediately bail. No one has room to say shit about the best fans in the league, outside of the people who care (Mayfield). Mayfield is trying to get people hyped and he is giving us a reason to be encouraged.

9. Prediction of the Week: The Browns will have four prime-time games next year. They’re fun, they’re dangerous to play, they’ve got an exciting quarterback, and they should have an exciting young coach. Cleveland finishes thusly: at Denver, Cincinnati, at Baltimore. Imagine a 7-8-1 record. Winning two of their last three would do it.

Considering we have 2 this year, this wouldn't shock me. I just hope it's not a let down. If we for sure aren't going to make the playoffs I would prefer to remain 3rd or 4th in the division to get the shittier teams on the schedule.

It's not rocket science but depth has been an issue with this team. They have a few stellar defenders (Myles, Ward, Schobert & Ogunjobi) but no real depth behind them or legit guys they can rotate in. They need a stud LB, to pair with Schobert, another legit corner, an interior DL and I'd be more than happy if they got a good DE to push Ogbah to backup status.
I know I may have mentioned this previously, and I don't want him, but could Tomlin be a candidate for the Browns if the Steelers crash & burn down the stretch? I'm not a fan of his in game decisions but I'm starting to think this is a McCarthy/Rodgers situation all over again with the QB (Rapistberger) being a big issue.
I still don't get why we let Nassib go. That would have been some nice depth. Regardless, isn't it nice to actually talk about finding pieces and adding depth instead of debating which QB to take this year? This is unchartered territory for all of us. I don't know how to handle it.
As for Tomlin, I highly doubt the Steelers let him go. Let's be real, worst case scenario they make the playoffs as a wildcard team, because they wouldn't lose to the Bengals week 17 imo. I think they will win the division though.
If Tomlin were available, I would have to say pass. Always thought he was overrated and is just set up with amazing drafting. It also doesn't hurt to have a HOF rapist QB.

As far as Baker's comments about fan attendance, I think that could have a bit to do with the fact that whether he was at Oklahoma, or on the road, he was usually playing to a packed house. Probably used to it. Plus he probably heard about how great the fans were and was a little surprised. Think it will take fans until this off season to be "all in" on the Browns again and we should see packed houses going forward. Seems kind of cyclical as the 90's Tribe was the place to be, the last 4 years was the Cavs and now it's the Browns turn, like it should be (ALWAYS).
As I said earlier, I am not worried about the best fans in the country. The DC browns backers bar is still getting 200+ people to show up every Sunday. I don't go as much as I used to, but I still see the same faces I saw when I moved to DC 6 years ago.

Agree or disagree with these rankings?

I don't have an issue with these rankings. I could move some guys around from 3-7, but it would be nit picky shit. Mayfield and Garret are no brainer 1 and 2. You need a QB and somebody to rush the QB in the NFL. The fact we have two young guys filling those needs (hopefully Baker progresses) is amazing.
