Callaway needs to stay clean. He is good.

Bakers pocket presence is nice. 3rd down sack was the only mistake I’ve seen from him (missed first half). But his movement and throwing on the run are impressive. The throw on the slant behind the receiver was the only off target throw ive seen also (and it was caught).

Don't think I've seen a rushing play go for more than 2 yards lol

Chubb looks slow and unathletic. Don't like that

That's not on Chubb. Both O-line units sucked tonight in their run blocking.

TT & Baker both looked good. Pretty much what I expected from Baker (maybe not as many passing yards) against a vanilla defense. Looks very calm & collected.

I don’t blame Baker for the sack, dude came right up the middle on a screen. Man, I really hope the nfl believed Calloway’s story...

Anyone see Josh Allen's 4th and 3 play? LOL

Callaway!!

When Josh Gordon comes back, watch the fuck out. There are some weapons on this team.

And I still think we get Dez. I think he just wanted to watch a preseason game or two to make sure Tyrod/Baker didn't suck.

I think we get Dez too. I think he avoiding camp. By waiting until next week, he would have at most 2 weeks of camp and only 2 preseason games.

No doubt.
Going to be an explosive offense, no doubt.  Landry's comments and prediction very well could be on point.

With that lineup defenses wont be able to stop them and can only hope to contain that browns offens.e

QB, WR’s & defense look solid—running game abysmal...still not a fan of Hue Jackson, but really like what Gregg Williams is doing with the D

Baker looked like an NFL QB....made some tough NFL type throws.

Tyrod was virtually perfect and is the QB this year.

Also, Baker looks taller than he did last year. He didn’t look small out there.

Dorsey seems to. Sounds like he & Hue don't think Callaway smoked. The fact he had it in his vehicle, and is already in the program, could cause the league to ding him though.

I differ on the defense. Not overly impressed. Still think they are a major work in progress. I will say that this team should be able to throw the ball this year but running it could be tough going.

Nice to see actual competent QB play. When you look at last year's QB room, compared to this years. it makes you think Sashi was sabotaging this team.

TT looked like a pro's pro, getting the job done in a workmanlike fashion but there's no way he makes that throw that Baker threw to Njoku for the TD. Hell, about 70% of the QB's in the league probably can't make that throw.

Baker showed me what I wanted to see out of him...that the stage/moment wasn't too big. Granted, he was facing guys that will likely be selling used cars and driving beer trucks in a few weeks but he did what was expected of him and, for the most part, did it well.

Future looks pretty bright from what I saw last night.

Well, he was taking the Sixers "trust the process" approach.

A work in progress, yes--but major? I liked their aggressive schemes, and I think they're talented as hell on that side of the ball--so "major work in progress" didn't come to mind when I watched them last night...jmo

Ugly stat from 2nd team last night. Chubb had 11 yards rushing...but 26 yards after contact...Means he was getting hit before ever even getting to the LOS

That 2nd team o line all need cut. They were pathetic. As for last night, bakers accuracy is off the charts. The TD throw to Njoku was a ball 70% of Qb’s in the league can’t make. The slant on Calloway’s TD was such a perfectly thrown ball, thrown in stride just out of the defenders hands. I’m not going to get ahead of myself but he was extremely impressive last night

I’m not worried about the defense. They’ll be improved just based on the fact they won’t be on the field so long and won’t be put in shitty situations (kizer).

They played what? 2 series last night?

And the pot is starting to stir.....not sure if it will be part of Hard Knocks, which I doubt because it would be stupid of the Browns (who have veto power over what airs), but Todd Haley supposedly made the comment "it's not my decision to keep Baker on the bench" (or something to that effect)). I like Haley's coaching approach, so far, but have heard he can rub a lot of people the wrong way right out of the gate.

I think Baker did very well for his first start. But if you look at what he did and look at what Tyrod did, and still want Baker to start out of the gate... well then I'm not sure what to tell you.

Too small of a sample size but I'd be lying if I didn't say I'd like to see what Baker could do with the 1's in that 3rd preseason game. He brings a dynamic to the game that TT will never have.

I've read he has an abrasive personality, but if this all is stemming from the Hard Knocks scene it is a complete overreaction.  Anyone who actually watched that scene, instead of reading the "tabloids," would realize it wasn't as dramatic as some are making it out to be.  If people still are making that scene out to be dramatic, then they have never been in a football locker room.  That shit more than likely happens on a weekly basis in most NFL facilities.   BR, you know better too.  I am not sure why every year it has to be TMZ for you for every single team in Cleveland.

Regardless, that organization needs quite a few people to break the group think/conventional thought that has given us 2 winning seasons since 1999.  IDGAF if some feelz are hurt and people get mad at each other.  It needs to happen.

LOL Haley made that comment to himself (and the cameras picked it up) a half second after the 60 yard TD throw to callaway. Anyone can say something dramatic in that moment, he was excited. For Christ sake BR no one made it into a big deal but you. Stfu.

Also, I'd prefer to focus on the positive of that comment by Haley.  Pretty good sign the OC already thinks Baker is ready to be a NFL starter after one preseason game.   Say what you want about Haley, but he has been around some pretty good QBs during his career.

Kind of my point. Part of me doesn't want to rush the kid but the other part says that TT will never makes the plays this kid makes, so throw him out there. TT is a decent safety net but I think we all know his ceiling.

Yeah, very true. Only BR would somehow spin that into a negative. But par for the course for him.
