I just want to say that Karen Gillan from jumanji is very under rated. She also plays Nebula in guardians of the galaxy and was Amy Pond on Dr Who.

Took the youngest to see Incredibles 2 today.  Entertaining flick, 7/10.  Was surprised, however, at the language in it.

- Damn - 1x

- Hell - 1x (maybe 2)

- Oh my god - 2x

3 very minor words/phrases, but it just surprised me, being a kids movie.

I knew I'd catch hell for that one, but was just pointing out the differences in today's Disney from the Disney with which we grew up.  There is a reason the multi-billion dollar company used to leave it out of their films.  Regardless of your religious beliefs, "Thou shalt not take the lord's name in vain" is a commandment, and bc of that, used to be left out of most kids/family shows.

Fortunately, things have shifted so that even fairy tales don't feel obliged to cater to the "rules" of fairy tale books! But, hey, if you were shocked and appalled, then thoughts and prayers, man, thoughts and prayers!

Just "pointing out" old Disney movie tradition...

Ok then, watch Roger Rabbit with your kids, and check out the language and innuendos in that movie

Tag - 7/10

You gotta know what you're getting into.  Expect something with the maturity level of The Hangover, and you'll enjoy it.  Was nice to see Jeremy Renner in a non-serious roll.  Jon Hamm is as good as he dependably is in everything.

It's not "good cinema," mind you, but if you want two hours of low-brow, mindless, childish entertainment, it delivers.  Also, watch the credits.

Want to see that one, also oddly looking forward to Antman and the Wasp. The first one was ok to good but I can’t say I was “looking forward to it” when it came out.

This one I think I am due to it somehow explaining stuff from Infinity War at the end (I have avoided spoilers on purpose).

Planning on seeing it tomorrow.

Ant Man and the Wasp

6/10. Better than a few of the Marvel “solo” movies like the first two Thor’s, the second two Iron Man’s, etc. but not as good as Dr. Strange, Iron Man, Thor:Ragnarok, etc.

Funny at times but I guess I have just started to expect more from Marvel. Almost gave it a 5 but thought I was too harsh.

Certainly better than the second Avengers movie, I assume.

Agreed, was on a long intl flight and though ah what the hell. Threw it on and it was trash.

Shape of Water: 6.5/10. Getting sick of watching Michael Shannon play a socially awkward rule mongering bad guy.
