My husband is currently playing 18 at Ellsworth Meadows in Hudson. I imagine he'll play Friday, as well.

My new shoes came in today and I've been wearing them all morning. Very comfortable for a golf shoe. An absolute steal for the price I paid.

I wear golf shoes on a daily basis.  They were a gift to me (as golf shoes) but I like the color (red) as it is a school color. So they became every day shoes (soft spikes).

Interesting. What shoe is it?

Yeah, the Roshe G are really comfortable. And they just have little nubs, not like most spikeless shoes.

Well, I played 9 holes today. I had a birdie on the first par 3 (hole 3) and was putting well enough, but I'm not sure I had anything better than a double bogey on the rest of the holes. A LOT of penalties today. The course was awesome, though.

Rude.

I'm really looking forward to going home for Christmas (mainly for family), I might end up dropping a bunch at Golfworks. I have my eye on these irons, my Ping G5's are showing their age. They do have some cheaper sets that I plan to demo, but these just happen to be the nicest looking game improvement club they have. Their website pics don't do the club justice.

I am in dire need of new wedges, and plan on outfitting my bag with a 52, 56, and 60 from them. I've heard they compare very well to the OEMs and only run about $39 a pop.

Rule change for 2019 will allow a player to putt from the green with the pin in the hole. Will you leave the pin in going forward or still remove it?

I rarely take it out as it is.

absolutely still remove it--the hole's a little bigger without a stick in the middle of it-lol

Take it out. I rarely ever hit it too hard. King of the lag. Over the years the flag being in has hurt me way more than it has helped me.

But you get a nice backboard, or something to the catch the edge of the ball to keep it from lipping out.

PGA guys might. Not sure of effects if grazing side of stick on a putt slightly too hard but those guys hit it in with more speed than we do. If we putted like they did from most distances....we’d be in more trouble than we could handle.

I do like the perception for my eyes with leaving the stick in

I played on Saturday and left the pin in. It helped me sink at least one putt, but I think it also prevented one from dropping.

Anyone do their own club "making"? I.e. changing out shafts, or re-gripping?

Regrip twice a year. I’ve never reshafted anything, although I’m getting ready to pull my current iron shafts so I can have new ones put in.

What grips do you use? I've never really given mine much thought, I'm still using the original Ping grips on my irons. I did have my putter re-gripped this year and it made a huge difference. Don't think I'll re-grip my irons as I'm hoping to replace them soon anyway.

Actually, I lied, I haven’t regripped my m4 yet. So that has just a normal Tour Velvet grip.

Also, I have a 2016 M1 3 wood I’m trying to unload if anyone is interested. Stock photo below. I don’t have any of the actual club saved on my phone. But it’s easily 8.5/10 condition.
