It’s a shame that this ended like this today. When I left there I felt different than when I got there. I had a calmness that I hadn’t had in such a long time that everything is going to be alright. I had been carrying around a lot of anger since the TM killing and others. It was such a great feeling to just see so many different types of people come together. I feel bad for the little kids there that got maced. Lots of kids in strollers too, which on hindsight probably isn’t great parenting

I apologize if you have discussed this.  What are your thoughts/stance, and the AA community's thoughts/stance on the riots and looting in situations like this?  Specifically the rioting and looting of innocent businesses, etc.?  I don't ask that condescendingly.

I also wanted to add that my experience as an AA doesn’t necessarily speak for others.. I grew up pretty rurally and overall even tho we didn’t have tons of money I experienced a lot of privilege in my life going to all white schools , being half white and may not have been born on third base, easily second base. I’m sure others had it much worse

This cop had "You're Fucked" on his rifle's ejection port cover. He shot a man lying face down (I believe I'm remembering that part right) in a hotel hallway. He's still a free man.

The MN officials are lying, per the USA Today. It’s mostly leftists not right wingers infiltrating. He was ordered to crawl towards the officers which he was but made a motion towards his waist which drew gunfire. The cops thought he was reaching for a gun, but it’s also been argued he was reaching for his pants that were slipping down. No gun was ever found on him and it seems he was making every attempt to comply. The officer was acquitted of all charges after a six week trial.

You generally seem like a good guy, but the message of non-violent protests is not followed by many BLM members.

I just want peace before our cities are ruined.
