It’s about time for the government to drop the extra unemployment benefits. Tourism is catching up to 2019 levels in some places and staffing is a huge problem in the hospitals industry.

If we don't stop paying people NOT to work we are going to have a crisis in mfg.  --  Lead times will be 4-8 months at best.

Nobody can hire anybody right now.

Agree.

I usually chuckle when the Youngstown politicians clamor about the "outstanding work ethic" of the locals as they try to entice new business into the area. If the Youngstown work ethic is an example of "outstanding", our country is in a world of hurt.

I am sure that the “pandemic” label can be dropped now.

Could have been dropped a LONG time ago.

What label would stop you from crying about it? Disease? Infection? Sickness?

How about we start treating it like we treat "the Flu"

It's on the way to that.

You'll be hearing about it for years to come, maybe even the rest of your life. Hope you can handle it.

Semantics. Regardless, it's getting toward the end. That is great news.

Haha a couple friends in the restaurant industry are having such a hard time finding employees they are turning to half way houses and high school culinary programs so the workers have to show up to stay out of jail or graduate.

Then on top of that the meat manufacturing plants are down so much staff they are no longer trimming the meat and the restaurant is having to.

LOL, the mind probably has been adding a few points to the looks scale to those with masks on making some 6s look like 8s

Probably "Scamdemic" would be sufficient

Can’t you guys just stay inside? I mean it’ll be like a month or two more. You have to drive around, do birthday party parades, let your kids play with other kids, etc. I mean is it really that difficult for you guys to just stay inside?

One year anniversary of this stupid shit on 4/9. Somewhere S&L is still staying inside.

I’m not sure what’s worse. The dumbfucks who bought into 2 weeks to flatten the curve or COVID deniers.

And not going to Walgreens due to scandalously high prices.

Define "COVID denier."

Looking only at deaths as some sort of definitive measuring stick is as dumb as focusing only on cases.

That would be the media then.  Changing the narrative to fit their political needs.  One week it was deaths and the next cases.  Then it was cases as a %, now it’s cases per age group.

They are running out of ways to keep control.

I can admit that I've done this.
