So pissed. Championship caliber defense going to go to waste. They might sneak into the playoffs with their upcoming schedule (still very doubtful) but they would be one & done. Not a serious contender.
And before anyone bags on Andrew Berry for not getting a legit backup, instead of ham & egger PJ Walker, they still wouldn't be a contender without a FQB. Watson was starting to show signs of returning to form.
Horrible. What might have been.

BEET!!!! I miss that guy.
It’s ALLWAYS something
I legit feel sick. And not even a viable FA option out there.
Stefanski will name the starter at 1pm but, from all reports, it sounds like it will be DTR, which makes sense.
As far as Watson goes, it sounds like he wanted them to just shoot him up and he'd play through the issue but was told if he took the wrong hit it might "fall off?"
DTR can still lead this team to wins. Playoffs I still think is likely, but unlikely to actually win a game.

Yeah, I don't have an issue with DTR starting over Walker. The front office had enough confidence in him to name him QB2 and trade Dobbs. He may not set the world on fire this week but he's got to be more prepared than the "by the way, you're starting today" 30 minutes before the first Rats game. Plus his ability to run should help which Walker couldn't do.
I'm sure Pittsburgh is licking their chops at the thoughts of a rookie QB starting against them and will likely blitz the Hell out of him. Hope Stefanski screens the shit out of that blitz.
Need to figure out how to win 13-10 every week.

Pittsburgh's been doing it all year and the Browns have a better defense.

I doubt a team that can’t score is ever licking their chops. I’d bet the Browns

I'm sure their defense is. And the Browns owe them a payback beating with their backup QB like the Steelers did a few years ago with that Duck dude.
From Browns social media/message boards and local radio, one would think that Josh Dobbs was Tom Brady.
Apparently the coaching staff, his teammates and even Andrew Berry really liked him but it was Depodesta's decision to trade him.
DTR beat his ass out. We were never rolling with Dobbs as a 3rd stringer when we could get draft capitol for him.

For all the people clamoring for Dobbs, my take is that with the current QB room, or if Dobbs was the QB, there's a chance, in both cases, they win enough to sneak in as a Wildcard but are one and done. So what's the difference except the addition of a draft pick?
Well here's a ray of sunshine in this shitty Browns news week...
Amazing news!! Jim Donovan is returning to the radio booth for this Sunday's game against Pittsburgh!

Quitting is one option. The other option is to show up and compete because upsets happen in the NFL. Three years ago, with a much less talented roster, we took KC down to the wire. It gets hard to make moves because we gave up so much draft capital in one of the worst trades in NFL history.
