All of sports.  $230M guaranteed - CLE is stuck with him for 3 more years.

Probably the only way out is to start sending a parade of massage "therapists" to his home.

It's not just the money, it's all of the draft capital that we gave up too.

It's the combo that puts it in the running for possibly the worst deal in all of sports.  The awful trade is just compounded by the fact they can't cut him because of all the guaranteed money.

Still hard to believe.  Watson was a Mahomes-like outlier prior to his year and a half off.

Part of what makes it a horrible trade is that the Browns were built better to be a running team, and out of nowhere they decide to become a passing team. Even with Chubb out, they are still better as a running team. That draft capital could have gone a long way towards supplementing areas of need.

I’m liking listening to Paul Keels.

Watson taking some hits, had a good throw to Cooper. Random deflection off a helmet again but into Cooper’s hands this time. Defense needs to keep the heat on.

Silly Browns with the 20 point lead....you only need to lead by 1 to win the game!

Was nice to see the team do what was expected of them today although the defense played way beyond expectations surrendering 58 net yards.

After shaking off some rust, Watson looked pretty solid. His arm strength is there, he took a few hits and had a beautiful late bomb to Cooper. Should've had a PI call on the deep ball to Goodwin.

My biggest concern is that if teams take away Amari Cooper that the passing attack is screwed. Njoku helps out some but after that.....nothing.

On to Baltimore which will be a huge test against what might be the best team in the NFL right now.

^^^^ Why I really wanted them to go after Adams, Jeudy, or Hollywood. This Wr is lacking a true #1, and no #2.

And yeah, Watson threw 4 great deep balls today. 2 not caught, but dropped in perfectly. He looked a lot better than what the media will portray. I thought he looked off balanced a few times more than a shoulder issue, which led to some bad throws. But overall thought he was pretty on point.

Imo, that’s 2 really solid games in a row when healthy.

Yeah, Watson needed this game to shake off some of the rust and give him a confidence builder. He started pretty slow but once he took a hit it was like "ok, passed that test, we can do this" and he kind of took off from there.

I still expect the Rats to beat them but I don't think it will be the total embarrassment the first game was.

Also seemed like Stefanski held him back a bit with playcalling, knowing it was Arizona, and not opening up anything before Baltimore. Cause there were a ton of screens, bubbles, and 3 step drops -- when Watson was dicing up anything downfield most of the game. Don't think that was a coincidence.

Anyone know when the Browns last had a shutout?

I remember a 27-0 win on Dec. 27, 1964. 😎

That one was weird. I've never seen a ball travel so oddly on field goals that Phil Dawson hit. I also remember a pass Joe J caught on a ricochet off a defender.

Very likely but if you look at the stats of the last game, the Browns defense gave up less than 300 total yards and DTR gifted the Rats offense 14 of their 28 points with two turnovers inside the Browns 30. Would be very surprised to see the offense play similarly.

Granted, the Rats were missing a ton of starters in that game.

In every loss this year, turnovers have been the biggest problem. Watson was much better with decision making against the Cardinals. He is still inconsistent with accuracy. If can protect the football and do a better job against their running game, I think that we have a chance.

I don't expect it to be a blowout but who knows.

One thing I've noticed with Watson is that he throws a lot of worm burners (low passes). Not sure if this has been a theme his whole career or just in Cleveland. If he can get that fixed, the completion percentage should go up.

Agree with the turnovers. No way a team with this defense should be in a negative turnover ratio.

Interesting news coming from Browns practice....sounds like James Hudson will play RT and Dawand Jones will slide back to his college position of LT for the Rats game. Would love to see them both ball out and make Wills and Conklin expendable.

I’m surprised how little recognition Cleveland got in the power rankings this week. From the several I saw they were in that #11-14 range. IMO, they’re better than Jacksonville, Dallas, and maybe San Francisco if Purdy remains a turnover machine. Maybe/probably Cincinnati until the bengals stop looking like shit against them. I guess this Sunday will tell.

If Jones can play.

This will continue until Watson gets more consistent. They have a SB caliber defense but the offense hasn't shown a lot of explosiveness.

This week will be a big test. Ideally Browns fans would like to see them win both of the next two division games but even if they were to lose them, with the upcoming schedule, I can still see 10-11 wins (expecting a loss to Cincy). I think 11 is the number to get in to the playoffs with all of their tiebreakers.

I dont really see a missed throw here. He looks good, once the playbook is opened up and its not bubble screens/backup QB gameplan.
