I hate this bullshit.
I hate this bullshit.
At least 1/3 of the teams in the league don't have a good starting QB, and you think CLE is going to trade for a better backup QB?
With what draft picks and what cap money? For who?
And this is why PJ Walker is PJ Walker. Can't put him in a position to make him win a game for you. One read QB who had 2nd & 3rd options open all over the field all day long, including the last pick that sealed the game.

Tannehill, Brissett, etc. All available for probably a 4th or less. Browns have plenty of cap space.
It would’ve helped, but not now. Needed to happen 2 weeks ago to win this week and Arizona. Too late now and then Watson will be back.
Saddest part about yesterday is that this may have been Stefanski's best job of coaching for 58 minutes. He's had this scrub QB in position to win 3 weeks in a row.
Two minutes left in the game and he forgets who his QB was. They probably should have run the ball but I wouldn't have had a huge issue with the call on 3rd & 3 if there was a different QB.
Shouldn't have even gotten to that point if the corner didn't have butterfingers and would've caught that pick 6 Geno gifted him.
I had zero problem with the throw. You cannot think the QB is gonna hit the linemans helmet. An incomplete pass (what you have to assume is worst case) is the same as getting stuffed.

Plus it was right before the 2 minute warning so the clock was going to stop on a run or an incompletion.
No shock here, DPJ sent to the Lions for a 2025 sixth rounder. Back home in Michigan for him.
Browns supposedly offered Washington a 6th rounder for Jacoby Brissett but the Commanders wanted a day 2 pick.

The Vikings traded 6th round pick to Cardinals for Dobbs and 7th round picks. We should have gone after Dobbs and offered a better deal.

A 3rd rounder for Brissett?

Apparently that was the asking price.
TBH, Brissett would have been the only one I would have brought in. Dobbs is kind of "meh" and, although he might have cut down on the turnovers, he doesn't really move the needle for me.
Is Watson suppose to be out this week as well?

Who the Hell knows? Wouldn't surprise me if we didn't see him until after Pittsburgh or even the rest of the year.
Might be more fun to lose with DTR than Walker
Looks like Walker is still the backup and Watson is “limited” today at practice. Cardinals throwing whoever.
Watson took all 1st team reps this week and waved off backups for extra reps a few times.
I think this is trending in a positive direction -- but we saw it for Indianapolis as well.

If he's not 100%, let him sit another week. Not 80%, not 90% but fully healed. I don't want to see this yoyo crap where he's in for 5 plays, looks like crap, and can't throw the ball 15 yards with zip, then they go to the backup.
Since Jimmy Donovan has been out fighting cancer the Browns have had several replacements to do the radio play by play including Chris Rose and Andrew Siciliano. This Sunday it will be Paul Keels.
Watson supposedly starting.

Who's QBing quarters 2-4?

PJ Walker. And also possibly quarter 1 when Watson decides he can’t go before the game.
Is this acquisition on its way to being one of the worst transactions in the history of the league?

All of sports. $230M guaranteed - CLE is stuck with him for 3 more years.
Probably the only way out is to start sending a parade of massage "therapists" to his home.
