Since you have brand new rides, have you looked into PPF and/or ceramic coating? I just scheduled to get it done in July. More than I wanted to pay, but shitty factory paint and I'm OCD...so fuck it.

I have gone back and forth on ceramic coating.

One minute I am calling to set up the appointment the next minute I read somewhere that it’s great but can get similar results by regular waxing.

Ceramic coating for full size trucks in NE Ohio range from $1600-2000.

Kind of why I am REALLY thinking it through.

90k truck, no brainer IMO. Also, with PPF.

I wish I would have done it immediately.

That price is in line. In Denver, I was quoted at $1750, includes minor paint correction, two stage spray and includes wheels and windshield. The PPF adds a lot more to the cost but I’m still figuring out what option to go with.

Why does the $90,000 need anything? Why would it have shitty factory paint?

Wut?

Meaning if you’re dropping 90k on vehicle, a few extra to protect it isn’t that big of a deal. I wouldn’t suggest it for a $5k commuter.

My car does have shitty factory paint. It’s a known issue.

Hadn't really thought about it. Got a few things I want to get done before I look at things like that.

I did my taxes Monday. I thought I was going to break even again this year but forgot about a major medical deduction which means I am getting $6000 back.

I believe I will use $1600 on ceramic coating, some for spending on our upcoming vacation, rest to savings

I just don’t understand the shitty factory paint on any average or above car/truck/SUV/van

It's a known issue for 5th gen 4Runners. Something I wasn't aware of until after the purchse. :/
