Only bad thing about a Bronco right now is having to overpay so much for it. Hopefully in a couple years when you’re ready to buy one they’re not going for $15k over MSRP like right now.

I'm hoping the same for my Raptor next year, they are overpriced as it is.

Other than price I have heard nothing but good things about the new Bronco's. My wife wants one of the "Sport" models.

I've seen a few Bronco's driving around. I dig 'em.

The Bronco Sport is a rebadged Escape, they look decent though. I doubt they have crazy markups.

Regular Bronco, Badlands trim is the shit. Probably 70k lol

I think you can get the sports pretty decently priced.  The big broncos are all over priced.

I've seen one of those Badlands, they are very nice.

I didn't know until recently that they also made a "Raptor" version of the Bronco as well.

Maybe the wife will want that version, so we both have "Raptors".

This seems like a decent deal. Low miles, price is okay. Accident history shows one airbag deployment but it's a one owner and that happened back in 2013.

No rust? Go for it.

My dad has an ‘09 F250, same red. Rusted to hell, but the engine is a beast.

I haven't seen a single truck without any rust. My problem is I don't know how much is too much, or where it's most problematic.

This is why I asked about traveling to get something. Further south you go, less rust.

One of the main things to check are the bed mounts. If they are rusted, you're fucked. The bed will need to be replaced eventually.

That's the problem with my dad's. The two front bed mounts are completely rusted through. Rear are on the way. So right now he has ratchet straps reinforcing and searching for a bed from a wrecked F250.

I'm certain I could talk my wife into flying down to Florida and driving a truck back.

Not into road trips?

Delivery also an option. I'm sure that's not cheap though.

I love road trips. Which is why I wouldn't mind driving a truck back from Florida.

You could probably look in GA, NC, and SC as well. Tougher to do if you actually want to see it before you buy, though.

CO is a rust free state as well. But markups for used cars still a bit crazy, it is fading though somewhat.

The following pictures are from underneath a truck for sale down the road (link at the end). How would you grade the severity of this rust from 1-10 (10 being the worst)?

The 4th picture worries me the most.

I feel in 3ish years your frame may not be good enough

Dad just spent $2500 on his 2002 Tacoma with $126,000 as his frame was close to breaking…guy took it and repaired the frame metal in many spots and it’s riding great and a usable “truck” again. With price of tricks, especially Tacomas I thought it was a great decision.

I test drove this one today. It wasn’t bad. Rust seemed minimal, smooth ride, though there was a slight shimmy at times when slowing down. Being the Lariat trim it had nice leather seats with built-in a/c. Cold air directly to the can on a day like today was nice. The biggest issue was the previous owner was a smoker and you could tell. Not sure if they tried to get the smell out and that’s the best it’s going to get or if it can be fully removed. I want to test drive one more as a comparison but it’s a definite contender. I probably would’ve bought it today if it was $19,000-19,500 but he didn’t seem too interested in any price drops.
