The facts already known speak for themselves.
Nope. That's the problem. We cannot even agree on basic facts.
You have your "facts" and the rest of the sane world has reality.

If you don't think similar corrupt behavior is occurring in other agencies, you are a moron.
Right, so the former director of the FBI, right after 9/11, during the Bush years, is now a corrupt liberal and has it out for Trump. Got it.
I bet you really bought into that secret society stuff too?
Hey, you know what, I think the Illuminati are probably behind everything...I just read they have Obama's real birth certificate. Must be true!

I agree on the secret society thing, but WaPo over the course of this whole affair has been just as big of a joke. In fact, people who have been following the Russian collusion story exclusively thru WaPo and NYT are likely to be extremely disappointed, and shocked.
Sure, the libs that think the probe will bring down Trump are living in a fantasy land.
Just like the crazy folks that think the FBI is corrupt as hell against Trump. Both are bullshit conspiracy theories.

Maybe while Hillary is serving time she can come out with a new book entitled 'What [REALLY] Happened'.
Clinton is not serving time....
The Browns are more likely to win the Super Bowl than that.

really? That example makes my point. That was a complete cover up and lack of leadership from the person that you voted for.
Fucking please.

Does the idea that maybe, just maybe, the feds are using older techology and that shit can get lost or deleted ever occur to people?

LMFAO. The FBI/DOJ - are you fucking serious? Tape drives have been around for decades. And, ummm, it's standard procedure to do a back-up before a system-wide upgrade.
Or is your argument that they aren't corrupt, just incompetent? That would make me feel so much better.
I blame more incompetence than corruption. In the end, I just think more than not FBI agents are more professional than corrupt and that technology issues and odd things happen. Again, this is Gov technology. It sucks sometimes.
I'm a big believer of Occam's Razor, other things being equal, simpler explanations are generally better than more complex ones. This is why I think most conspiracy theories are bullshit.

ptown is losing it. His liberal world is falling apart. Everything that his ears hear on CNN is feeling like a lie.
Don't watch CNN, or any cable news really, and my world is just peachy as I don't live in the world of conspiracy theories.

This is a fucking joke. It's inexcusable. People with lower security clearances would be in deeper shit.

Depends man. Come on. You know as well as I do, shit gets lost in the Gov space. GAO and IG reports are full of examples.

And people get in trouble for it at lower levels. We aren't even talking about that with this scenario. I don't know what to tell you, it is inexcusable. I haven't heard many GAO cases where they take it easy on the Government for "losing" important documents. You are trying to justify losing important information, because "technology" is old. That is 100% at the worst a fireable offense. Maybe they let it slide for shitty deparments like the Dept of EDU, EPA, Energy, or Hud, but other departments are held to a higher standard when obstruction/corruption isn't invovled. This is the FBI we are talking about. They are supposed to be the best of the best in terms of record keeping. I don't know how you can look at them, the state department, or DoD and be ok with people just "losing" very important documents. GTFO, you don't need to spin everything.

Did the FBI treat Hillary Clinton and Huma Abedin equal to Micheal Flynn and George Papadopoulos?
I don't know and neither do you as the Flynn and Papa details are not fully released.

True, true. I was more suggesting is it possible that it wasn't shady shit about Trump and a secret society and more likely shit just got lost? I didn't mean to use it as a the reason the texts were lost, I was just offering another possible option.
Maybe the guys did want to cover up the fact they had a relationship and deleted their texts because of that? I don't know. That may be more likely than a vast conspiracy against Trump. Also, aren't the FBI agents in question removed from the Mueller probe as soon as this was found out? So, maybe they already received their punishment in some form? I don't know.

I don't know either, I'd like to wait for the facts, but it does seem pretty shady those texts happened to be lost right when Mueller began his investigation. Just like it was shady that Clinton met with Lynch on the tarmac, comey already made his decision on hillary prior to speaking to her, etc etc. I don't blame anyone from raising their eyebrows at that shit. The Government has a history of being sketchy as fuck and I think it's much better that everyone questions the Government instead of taking their word for everything. They need to be held accountable, period.
Overall though my main point is "losing" important documents is inexcusable. Show me a private business that let's shit like that get away and I will show you a business that is close to death.
