It's only a matter of time before a few armed people start shooting antifa members, right? I don't think anyone would be shocked if it happened.  They are playing with fire.

I'm sure it'll happen.  I hope it doesn't, though.  Aside from the fact that killing people isn't ever an ideal thing, I'd wager Antifa would be more than happy to climb up on that cross and be full-tilt divas about how they're being victimized or something.  Might actually help their cause, long-term.

I hope it doesn't happen either, but if they keep assaulting people it's bound to happen.  Honestly, at this point if someone were being attacked and they shot a few members, I couldn't blame them.

Oh, me neither.  I wouldn't fault them for shooting in response to being attacked.  Self-defense is what carrying is for.

I just know that it would get turned around.  "Antifa being hunted." "Another shooting: How many deaths before more gun control?"

I know that tune too well as it is.

Remember when presidential candidates were denouncing the Smollet (fake) assault? Could you imagine if some MAGA dudes beat up a CNN reporter, the outrage and blaming Trump for saying the enemy of the people?

Also, ANTIFA is fighting an "enemy" that doesn't exist. They are a bunch of leftist losers who want to feel tough by covering their faces and assaulting people. There are numerous videos of them taking over Portland streets and assaulting strangers. There is twitter video of the same thing that Ngo was at where they assaulted a 50+ year old man and cracked a guys head open with a pipe/ chain when he intervened. Where are the police?

Given Portland's high rate of unsheltered homeless, probably tending to some homeless guy violently shitting his pants and claiming to be Jesus.

Safe bet one of these times they block traffic and start pounding on the windows someone is going to panic and plow thru them with their car.

Yesterday antifa also beat the hell out of an older man with a crow bar or pipe. The picture/vid of it is horrible!

Well then that person will be charged with vehicular homicide.

I can't say I "hope" it happens, but it might have a beneficial outcome for many.  If I were a strict utilitarian, I might consider it a good thing for someone to run over a few of them.

It would be an interesting court case.  As soon as someone breaks a window, you have a decent argument for fearing for your life.

Also, they're not in a crosswalk and illegally blocking traffic.  I'm not sure you'd get 12 jurors to convict that person of vehicular homicide.

Agreed with this. Once they bust out the window, who knows what they're going to do next. I think that's a legitimate case for fearing for your life. If I'm on that jury I'm not convicting someone for that.

Look who the citizens of Portland are. They'd have to take the case outside of that city for jurors to not side with the "poor" dead person who didn't deserve to die.

I mean it won’t be me, so that doesn’t worry me much. And good luck convicting (Jury case outside of Portland)

So, Colin Kaepernick was apparently offended by a prototype of Betsy Ross shoes that Nike was going to release, so Nike gave in and will now pull all the shoes. My personal opinion is that if a motif of the US flag offends you that much then you've got bigger problems than the damn shoes.
Colin Kaepernick is ok with flag burning and wearing pig socks meant to mock police but he's not ok with the flag on shoes.

Yeah, ok.

The bigger question is why is Nike giving this much credence to Kaepernick?

I'm okay with his kneeling, speaking out, and choice of apparel.  And I guess I'm okay with his having an opinion on a shoe design.  But I think it's dumb for anyone to get pissed about this, and I think it's dumb that Nike has pulled the shoe.

At some point, someone on the top floor has to be getting tired of his shit when it costs them $$$ (which pulling a shoe that's already been produced obviously does).

LOL  That's spectacular.  To put up such a slanted, leading survey-style question and still fail in such an overwhelming fashion takes talent.
