Crime rates are reported crimes, not crimes that were solved and had arrests so over policing couldn’t cause blacks to have higher crime rates.

posted by iclfan2About a question that had nothing to do with his answer. Corey Booker side eyed him like what in the fuck. Glad twitter exists for this bc how can anyone watch.
I avoided the debate, because I honestly don't think they're helpful or informative this early, but I had to look that up.
Booker's reaction is perfect for how weird a flex that was. He and Warren both played the "don't look directly at him" game because of how awkward it was.
If Trump says says to one of those clowns in a debate "English, motherfuckers" then I might just have to vote for him.
No no no....Don't learn English, I'll become bilingual. How insensitive of me to think otherwise.
Honestly, I now want to see a debate between Beto (only speaking Spanish), that South African guy who faked ASL at the Mandela memorial, and Vermin Supreme.
I would pay money. Seriously, you could put that shit on HBO and charge pay-per-view for it.
Happened to see AOC was on Colbert. Came out to a standing ovation and the crowd started chanting "A....O.....C.....A...O....C". I thought about watching, then decided I can't listen to that dingbat.
This country is fucking doomed.
Checking out Twitter right now, I'm seeing a lot of progressive, very left people making fun of last night's debates. I didn't watch it but I've seen enough clips and quotes to make me glad I didn't.

The biggest takeaways from what I could tell through clips and twitter commentary 1) (And of course the people I follow would say this) is that the left has gone WAY left: Full repeal of private insurance, banning all semi-autos,etc and 2) Warren should have been the star and faded away after the first 30 minutes.
Oh, and Castro said that trans women (men) should be able to have abortions.
I might be wrongheaded here, but here's my thoughts:
I think the "normies", who are what is called the exhausted majority, are going to see these debates and nope themselves right out of that ideology. Then they will make the choice to stick with the devil that they already know.
I'm here like JFC come on.
Millions of people on the social medias and youtube screaming from the proverbial rooftops that the dems can beat Trump if they don't go crazy. AND THEN LAST NIGHT HAPPENED.

Yeah, but then Booker went on and did the exact same dang thing later on.
I think Booker's side eye was more "oh crap, he took my thunder as I was going to do that later" or "oh crap, nice job now I have to do that later".

I couldn't stop watching, kind of like driving by a train wreck, you just can't take your eyes off it.
I'm not even gonna pretend to give a shit about any of this until the numbers have been whittled down from Infinity to at least single digits and we're closing in on whenever the fuck Ohio's primary is because I have actual friends and hobbies, but here's some real information on this shit that I feel I will be able to use when the time is right.

Didn't find that out until later.
After one of the most non-minority people in the room, the conspicuously good-looking white guy Beto, tries playing up his ability to connect with a minority group, there's no good way to follow that by doing the same thing without looking like a copycat.
If you've got a sneaking suspicion Trump is going to win in 2020, I implore you to spend election night at a bar typically full of liberals. Election night 2016 was a fantastic experience, watching grown adults melt down, openly crying, as results came in. It really made me feel good about myself. I bet the night at a redneck bar if Trump loses would be equally hilarious.

I'm not sure about during a debate, but speaking Spanish on the campaign trail is nothing new.
But like I said, I would love to see someone call them out on this - "What are trying to signal? That Hispanic immigrants can't speak English, or don't want to learn?"
What do they do in Canada, which I think is one of the few countries that is officially bilingual?

It was fun for a while watching TDS, but I'm not sure I can tolerate 4 more years of not just Trump, but how the news cycle covers him.
Although if he gets re-elected, I think the meltdowns will be even worse. So long as Repubs hold on to the Senate, I'm not remotely concerned with which clown is left standing.

Canada and Belgium are the only two countries that I can think of who are bilingual without looking it up lol

If this is true, then it makes Biden kind of inevitable. He's the only moderate with an actual shot of winning that primary. Then I bet he chooses Warren or Harris as his VP.
I think Biden also stands to benefit from the loons splitting the far left voters. Anyway, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a contested convention - after 2016, the shenanigans of choosing a candidate when no one comes close to the threshold should piss off a lot of Dem voters.

Campaign trail is a different animal, though. Beto's doing it looked like shameless pandering last night, but he pretty much ruined it for everyone else who even wanted to try.

Tulsi Gabbard is moderate and she was most definitely the smartest person in the room last night.
She is the only one of the 20 dems I would vote for right now. If the election was tomorrow I would probably vote for Tulsi Gabbard. I disagree with a lot of her policies, but she would still have my vote. She is smart, understands foreign policy (specifically Mid East) better than anyone on either side, etc.

Yep.
I saw the clip where she was having to explain to Tim Ryan that he had no idea what he was talking about. And what he did know about what he was talking about was prolonging war.

It's kind of like when Hillary Clinton goes to a southern black church and changes her accent to sound like a southern black person. In other words they believe their voters are "simple" and will be impressed by this.

Don't forget the hot sauce! And here I thought eating someone else's food was cultural appropriation!

Also, does Jim Beam, Jack Daniels and Johnny Bootlegger count as friends?

Ugh, bourbon isn't my thing. Canadian whisky and/or tequila for me!
