Good comparison.  They both seem to have a similar grasp on the complex issues affecting our world.  Maybe Tina Fey can play AOC as well as Palin.

No way.  AOC is awful, I'll agree.  But Sarah Palin was horribly clueless and belongs in the same category.  The fact that she could have been a heartbeat away from the big chair is terrifying.

Maybe in the margin of victory, but there was no way America in 2008 was electing a Republican after GWB's wars and crashing economy.

I actually hope that she's not charged and/or proven anything guilty. I'd rather see the reaction on election day if she's voted out of her district.

That’s incredibly spooky, because on my way to work this morning I saw that sign by a construction site and thought “wonder how long until feminists get mad at that sign?” And then I read that twitter post lol

I predict a large swing the opposite direction over the next 15-20 years when all these people growing up indoctrinated with this BS gain enough knowledge and experience to realize the world is not as they were taught to perceive it.

I was driving in the car about a month ago with my wife’s sister in the car (just her and me). Her sister went to a liberal arts high school and is a junior at a liberal arts university. She is a feminist and an extreme progressive. 

 We had a radio morning station on. While we were listening to it, I noticed she kept pointing out when something the radio hosts said was sexist or mysogenistic or whatever. I’m talking she probably made 10 comments. I mean, the male host would say to the female host “I remember when you came to this station years ago and you started as the traffic person and here you are the co-host” as they were talking to call-ins about rising up through one company. And she goes “oh because HOW CRAZY a woman actually rises up in a company, you asshole!”

At one point I just looked at her and go “why are you so negative?” And she was like “what?” And I go “you’re not even listening to these guys talk, you’re just hearing what you want to hear and that’s calling out sexism and racism or any other ism out there...”

And she basically said “yeah I guess so, that’s just how I’ve been taught to hear things now I guess”

My response was “that sounds terrible” lol

I've noticed this, as well.  That's the goal of identity politics - to manufacture outrage so the person can be summarily dismissed without being heard.

They hear one thing they question or disagree with - and they could be totally in the wrong - and the whole piece is garbage.  It seems like we are not teaching people to be able to discern fact from opinion.  And what's been completely lost is healthy skepticism, particularly that the more sensational or incredible the claim, the stronger the need for evidence.  I guess in a world of social media hot takes no one has time to actually gather facts and make their own informed opinion.

This is also hilarious, because she is ironically supporting the argument that the "gender pay gap" is a bunch of bullshit.  

1.  Men enter higher paying fields in general annnnnd

2.  Men are much more likely to work in the must dangerous jobs, which has a direct correlation to their higher pay.
