How does one even frame that in such a way as to complain about it?

They’re framing it as if it is breaking some sort of military rule. As if It matters either way. Deployed troops in a shit hole country on Christmas should probably be laid off of.

Oh for fuck's sake.  They're getting fucking autographs.

When you get a baseball player's autograph, you get it on a baseball if you can.  Why wouldn't you try to get Trump's autograph on a Trump hat?

I'm certainly not looking forward to any Trump 2020 bid, but anyone getting frosty about this needs to let it go.

They can't let it go. Trump Bump gives them ratings and clicks. Love him or hate him, they know that he's kept some of them, at least, in jobs. In the age where small/independent media is going bankrupt or sold off, the big companies just keep doing what works for them.

If nothing happens to Trump & Trump Jr. when Mueller finishes, there is going to be a LOT of crying.  Jimmy Kimmel would probably need to be put on suicide watch.

I'll add Joe Scarborough and Nate Silver to that list. I think they both need medication and intensive therapy at this point.

Might not be a bad idea to just offer that to practically anyone who goes into news media.  They've all had their moments where it seemed like their heads were going to explode.

Well, for me I was never really into Twitter until something like ... 2015 and that was mostly for work. Then I got into it a little more the following year. So I guess I see more of the hysterics now than I did for Bush or most of Obama's terms. Was never heavy into FB either. Social media lets you see snippets of media instead of trying to be glued to a tv set all day/night to see something. Twitter also lets you see what people think in their own words instead of "company" words. Which is why I see a lot more of the media types having personal traumas over Trump than I have before with other presidents.
That's not to say that I don't agree with you, it's just that due to my own social media habits, I probably haven't seen a lot of what others have.

Saw this on twitter and then looked it up on youtube:

Imagine acting like this simply because somebody came in wearing a Trump shirt and MAGA hat lol!

I was entertained. I was thinking it might be a publicity stunt, but the name of the store was never mentioned that I saw (and a very nice smoke shop!).

Laughing at the poor black dude just standing there like WTF?

But on a related note, while the video was entertaining, why not just leave?  Why continue to antagonize the guy?  That shirt was pretty over-the-top....makes me think that dude walks around like that hoping to record reactions like that.

Oh no doubt he was looking for his 15 minutes and got it. But he knew exactly what he wanted and where it was, so it seems like he's not new to this store. Who knows, it was still bizarre.

If I were to ever act like that in public, there better be a damn tarantula on my back or something!

So somehow people can act like that employee and you have to throw in there "that shirt was over the top"......really?  You blame the shirt?

For the better part of our civil society, we shouldnt want people thinking that acting like this little DB is ever a good thing.

You are so dumb. He was not saying the way the employee was acting was a good thing.

The comment about the shirt is meant to rationalize that in some way that guys behavior is ok because "the shirt was over the top".

he justified it.

LOL.  No.

And you got it backwards - the employee's reaction doesn't make the other guy less of an asshole for wearing that shirt.

The customer was obviously looking for a reaction he could record and post. The unknown is how many people he had to interact with before he found someone to take the bait (likely not many in the current environment). IMO, a case of asshole on asshole "crime".

This is what people mean when they say "snowflake."  If a shirt supporting someone you don't agree with incites this sort of response, you're entitled and intolerant.

Oh, he was obviously looking for the perfect entitled shit to give him a reaction he could film, and this guy certainly gave it to him in spades.

Nobody's blaming the shirt for the guy's response.  The response was obviously uncalled for.  Doesn't mean the guy wasn't looking for an uncalled-for response.

Don't pretend to be this dense.

Again, don't be dense.

Nowhere did he justify it.  He denounced it more thoroughly than his castoff mention of the shirt.

Elizabeth Warren has announced her bid for Presidency:

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/12/31/us/politics/elizabeth-warren-2020-president-announcement.html

And this section in the article is what should be worrisome for everyone:

the primaries and caucuses next year are likely to be fought over not only who is the most progressive candidate but also which mix of identities should be reflected in the next nominee.

So the media is already pushing for more identity politics. Brace yourself for the cringe.

Man ...

Someone call Jared Polis.  The Democratic Party should be putting people like him out there.  Serious.  Sober-minded.  Not calling themselves Native American when they're white as cocaine on a baby's ass.

I went to my gf’s family annual Xmas dinner this year. I’m rural Pennsylvania about 50 miles west of Pittsburgh. This was not just her usual family but it was her full extended family of about 50 or more people. We line up to get a family  photo and I realize that the guy two people over from me has a bright red make America great again hoodie on. It was my gf cousin. I don’t know him, really have only met him maybe twice in the last six years. Whether or not he is a racist I have no idea but in these times we live in I have to assume that if this is your choice if clothing to the Xmas party of your whole family that you are trying to send some type of message. I will admit that I could not help but assume he was probably racist. I basically just avoided him. A few hours later he did take it off. There were two black guys there and we both felt the same way. It’s a shame that is the way things are but these days I will err in the side of caution in that situation and I probably will feel that way in every situation going forward if I don’t know you 🤷‍♂️

Smh. This post is what is wrong with America these days. Guys wearing a hoodie and you label him racist. You don’t even know the guy.
