Along those same lines, the reason immigrants happily accept the lower wages - and have money leftover to send back home - is because they'll not only live modestly, but live together to share expenses.  That's probably still a life of luxury to them.

The relative increase in poverty, probably not coincidentally, correlates with an increase in single-parent households.

Absolutely.

Guy should have gotten his ass kicked, but wow seriously triggered!  But classy response for a guy who literally cries about Trump being a bully.

And LMFAO....never heard the whole Fredo thing.  It is pretty hilarious.  Cuomo might have to stay in the studio, because he's now guaranteed he'll be trolled constantly in public.

Laughed real hard at this. No Fredo is not a slur, no it is not comparable to the N word, Yes Cuomo had a guest on his show that used Fredo as a term about one of Trumps kids, and No the guy should not have got in his face out in public. Cuomo also said "Fake News" is the n-word for journalists. Seems like he likes to exaggerate.

Sounds like a contest, Cuomo making up things that are the equivalent of the N-bomb vs. Bernie declaring things to be rights.

Do you know how you can tell that "Fredo" isn't as bad as the N-word?

Because we say "N-word."  We'll say the actual word "Fredo" in conversation.  We won't say the actual N-word when talking about it even.

I do know that "Fredo" can be used as a derogatory slur, though.  I've heard it used that way a couple times.

But props to Cuomo for threatening to throw the guy down the stairs, you know, just like a real Italian thug would do.  Really more of a Michael Corleone response, though.

Would have been perfect if he'd asked him if he renounced Satan before that.  lol

I’ve heard wop and dago for Italians but never Fredo. Heck, Wikipedia doesn’t even have fredo on the list of ethnic slurs for Italians.

It isn't ethnic in the use I've seen on twitter (people have no lives and found that lib celebs have called Trump's kids Fredo and Trump himsel), it's just an insult calling someone stupid based on the GodFather. I've never heard of it until the Cuomo thing. He's a douche.

While the term comes from The Godfather, the point isn't to insult Italians, but to insult a weaker, inept little brother as compared to a strong, successful big brother (Michael vs. Fredo). Calling Chris Cuomo "Fredo" is to point out his relative status as a talk show host vs. his brother the Governor. Notre Dame students have been known to refer to Boston College as Fredo.

I'd wager that any real USA Italian would rather deal with a run of the mill slur like wop or dago than be called a Fredo, since that's basically saying they are a weak, barely-competent bitch-boy who'd sell out their own brother if it allowed them to feel like a big shot for a little while, at least until their inherent stupidity causes them to unintentionally spill the beans and essentially putting an end to everything that concerns them and their life. I mean, in OC terminology, that'd be like someone calling someone else a "CC" because their post was so unfathomably derpy.

My props to Cuomo for at least making today's news cycle far more hilariously entertaining than what the average day tends to give me.

This is the best part.  We now have confirmation that Cuomo is a hot head Italian fuck off camera.

This.  At the very worst "Fredo" can be intreptted as being called a pussy, since Fredo was a pussy in godfather.

I would hope we would hold the president to a higher standard than some guys in a bar fight even if he is a tv personality, that’s a pretty low bar QO

They're both in the public eye.  They should both be accountable for their statements.

I'm curious what Fredo's take was on conservatives being harassed when they were out to dinner.  And all of them handled it far more gracefully despite being subjected to much more than being called a name.

I'm also a bit more sympathetic to a public servant trying to represent their constituents than I am to the very overpaid peddlers of faux-outrage (which includes most of the talking heads on the right, too).

On a related note, "[blank] is basically the same thing as the n-word to [blank]" is apparently kind of a go-to move for Fredo.

Probably the same as his opinion of a bunch of 16 year olds being taunted by some instigators at the DC Mall...

This is confusing.  If Fredo is equivalent to the "N" word how are we to know when someone makes a comment regarding the "F" word.  Will we have to count the asterisks to differentiate between fuck and Fredo?

The president should be held to a higher standard. I get that.  I think politicians have underestimated how much their fake public political persona is loathed.  One of my favorite political interviews was when VP Dick Cheney was asked whether he told Senator Patrick Lehey to go fuck himself I remember in public in the capital building.  He responded I did and I thought he merited at the time and we have since made amends.

This is the stuff that will ultimately lead to serious conflict.  The number of radical groups violently attempting to overthrow our nation of laws is shocking.

"A group of open borders activists threatened employees of a government contractor in Florida that provides facility space for the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency to detain border crossers and illegal aliens the day before a shooting at the contractor’s offices in Texas.

In exclusive footage captured by Matt Perdie of Breitbart News, protesters with Never Again Action, Miramar Circle of Protection Friends of Miami-Dade Detainees, Food Not Bombs Fort Lauderdale, Students Working for Equal Rights, and the Black Lives Matter Alliance of Broward County shouted threats at workers and former employees of the GEO Group, a private contractor used by ICE for facility and detention space.

One protester specifically threatened GEO Group’s former general counsel John Bulfin, shouting the locations and addresses of where his children live in the United States.

“We know where all your children live throughout the country … John Bulfin you have kids in [bleeped out], you have kids in [bleeped out],” the protester shouted. “We know everything about you and you won’t just be seeing us here.”

“We know where you sleep at night,” another protester shouted. “We know what kind of dog food you buy your dogs.”

“We’re not actually joking,” the protester said before shouting the location of where Bulfin lives. “John Bulfin you go to [bleeped out], you go to church on [bleeped out], you live on [bleeped out the] road. We are not joking.”

The threats came just a day before gunmen allegedly fired shots into local ICE offices and GEO Group offices in San Antonio, Texas in what the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is describing as a “targeted attack.”

Police say gunmen opened fire on a local ICE office and GEO Group office in a “targeted attack” against the enforcers of national immigration law. (Photo via GEO Group)

“These shootings were cowardly, brazen, violent acts, absolutely without justification and a threat to our entire community,” San Antonio FBI Chief Christopher Combs told KSAT 12. “An attempt to attack federal employees is a federal crime with serious consequences … I don’t think there is a question that they knew which floor the ICE office is on.”  said Combs during a press conference Tuesday afternoon at the scene, adding that all the rounds that were recovered were found on the floor that ICE occupies.”

“To fire indiscriminately into any building is not an act of a protest but an act of violence,” Combs said."

In an interview with Breitbart News, GEO Group VP of Corporate Relations Pablo Paez said the protest threatening the contractor’s employees is “incredibly reckless.”

“The safety of our employees is our top priority and we will do whatever it takes to ensure that their safety and their security remains our top priority,” Paez said. He went on:

These are politically motivated attacks. We have been a services provider to the federal government for over 30 years. The fact is that the services we provide in our facilities today are in no way different than the high quality, professional services under the same standards that we provided for eight years under President Obama’s administration. So where was the outrage then?

Last year, “abolish ICE” protesters targeted agents in the city of Portland, Oregon, shouting racial slurs at Hispanic and black American ICE officers, Breitbart Newsreported. Those same abolish ICE activists also videotaped themselves beheading a doll of President Donald Trump. The images depicted Trump’s head being chopped off with a guillotine.

Why does the left keep pushing Stacy Abrams? There is nothing unique about her, she spouts some completely made up bullshit, but the media and candidates keep talking about her (like for VP). I don't get it.

Because she is black, a woman, and "almost" won in Georgia which we KNOW is a racist state.

Other than that I don't get it, she isn't that great of a candidate.

She came out today and said Republicans and undercover police are going to go out into communities of color and scare them into not voting. And then show up to the polls and scare them away (you know, like the black panthers did in the Obama election). She's a nutcase.
