I don't know who leaked it.  I'm talking about this "deep state" stuff.  Specifically the way deep state is used by the Trump/Brietbart/Alex Jones crowd - a  nefarious, highly organized conspiratorial organization of beaurocrats who work in sync to undermine Trump's presidency.  The problem with that, like every other outlandish conspiracy is that human nature would absolutely prevent such a large entity from operating in secret.  It's never been done.  So while government beaucracy is frustrating for sure, calling everything that doesn't go Trump's way "fake news" or "work of the deep state" is either crazy or sad.

Not sure that anyone is characterizing everything in that manner.  But in this case, with the deep state starting to feel the heat, they obviously leaked it in order to assist with the pushback on those willing to drain the swamp, if at all possible.

Why are you so rattled by the term "deep state"?  Is it just who is using it?  Or does it just sound scary?  Its really not any different than "the establishment" or "the mainstream media" in their literal meanings.  The latter two have been used for decades by well respected political commentators.  To me all these terms are just descriptive of like minded groups of individuals acting in their own political self interest within the powers they hold in government or media.  Not some vast conspiracy.  Sometimes they act legally sometimes not.

Chuck Schumer the minority leader of the senate once warned Trump that intelligence agencies "have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you", when Trump criticized them. There is not a "deeper" part of the state than its intelligence organizations.  They understandably demand the highest levels of secrecy from the people they serve.  But also should not be feared when criticized.  I believe this term "deep state" picked up traction in the conservative media with Schumer's comment.

As for the leak.  Strategic leaks are as old as Washington.  And yes at times they are contrived in smoke filled rooms by groups of state actors.

To deny the fact that there are factions of people in DC that run black ops stuff for political reasons is crazy.  Shit happens

I actually just crossed paths with him a couple weeks ago in DC.  He is tiny. /coolstory

I know politicians are liars, hypocrites, and loathed for it.  I saw an interview with him today where he basically said the prosecutor Barr appointed to look into the origins of the Russia investigation would sully his reputation if he took part in it.  Given Blumenthal's history the more I hear from this guy the more I find him particularly loathsome.

As I scoured the news sources this morning, LOL at CNN.  The word Russia is not on their main page one time.

Unreal how Fake they are.

They traded that word for:  not exonerated, obstruction, and impeachment.

They are so, so pathetic.

I feel like this pretty much proves CNN is lazy/fake news, but you be the judge.

Lol Stelter is a Cuck. That’s also from Feb. But pretty funny that Snopes keeps on fact checking Babylon Bee. Who knew fact checking could be so partisan.

Apparently CNN debate moderators, the peddlers of the Russia hoax, did not bring up the issue last night.  Imagine that.

They literally just hired McCabe, who is under investigation by the federal government. And they still employ Stelter

So the fake news gave up the cookie jar today by implying that this whistleblower story could be used in the impeachment thing.

There will be a steady stream of BS coming out for the next year to add fakeness to Nadler and the house Dems

Whistleblower story is yet another super-sized nothing-burger.

I would bet a large amount of money on the story being 100% fake

The so-called whistleblower is a partisan hack …..so you can start with that.

Then you can look at Joe Biden bribing Ukranian officials to get his son’s corrupt gas company out of prosecution.

That should be for Congress to decide, except the Dems and their media are blowing up unsubstantiated stories for political purposes, which ultimately is destroying faith in our institutions.

Otherwise, sure, a partisan hack could make up a claim to have heard something purely to cause political damage.  And I wonder how this compares in seriousness to Obama telling Putin "I'll have more flexibility after the election".  But he's POTUS - he has the authority to not only negotiate in such manner, but actually make the deal.

So if Trump did want Ukraine to look into illegal actions (this is not "diggin" up dirt on an opponent).  What is the difference when the DNC and Clinton just did this with the help of a former British spy and the Russians?

They’re liberals, so its ok.
