So....in your opinion, the whole entire government, Republicans included, are going along with a fake report just to spite Trump?

You do realize that there is only one person in congress that knows who the whistleblower is.  So yes...anyone going along with this on hearsay and 2nd hand knowledge doesnt know anything more than you do

I'm not even sure what Spock is talking about. The name is already out there and has been for a couple of weeks. And the same dipshit media who Dox everyone and show up at grandma's house for posting a meme are up in arms that Fox would name the person

There isnt one source that confirms who the whistleblower is.  Sure there is a name floating around but its never been released by Schiff.

I find it amazing how silent the press stories are on impeachment today.  Almost every website has very little headline stories on it.

Nothing amazing about that; it was yet another giant nothing-burger.

The People are sick of this BS.

The "media" in this country officially went all in on not being media today.

MSNBC and its parent companies denied to cover the Senate hearing today until ranking members for the Dems started in with Feinstein,  NBC affiliates cut to it when she started,

CNN left out all the opening statements from the R's and went in after the D's started.

The irony is CNN might not survive if Trump isn't re-elected.

Peddling Trump hate has been big business.  2020 election coverage should be very interesting.

Literal mouthpieces for the democrats, aka socialists and Marxists.

Among Trump’s greatest accomplishments is revealing the enormity of the bias in the media and its conjoined relationship with the democrat party and DC establishment.  It is worse than even most people thought, and it is a national disgrace.

This is such BS.  Bias in the media was not discovered or pointed out by Trump.  It's always been there.  The sources that I'm sure you would say hold a liberal bias have been widely known that way to people who agree with you for as far back as I can remember.  "Media bias" as a topic has been out in the open for a long, long time.  Rush Limbaugh has made a career pointing it out and he's been on for 30 years.  The bias you hate is being pointed out daily by that part of the media you happen to personally agree with - the same part that people on the other side of the political spectrum from you would say is extremely biased toward the right.

Human beings always think the exact moment they're in is unique in history.  You seem to carry that to present politics.

I think “enormity” was the key word.

I'd agree that what we've seen has gone way beyond bias.  I'm not sure the depth of falsehoods and deliberate lies has been seen from people who were supposedly actual journalists.

And certainly more of an effort was made to tone-down and mask that bias.  But in the Trump era it became a sort of badge of honor....virtue signaling.  They're proud of it - Trump is so corrupt that it's worth sacrificing the integrity of the profession.

Or maybe it's simply that the demand for objectivity in news has been dying a slow death, and with Trump journalists saw a spike even when they printed unverified or flat out wrong stories.  Almost like journalists have quite fighting for journalism.  The new way is easier, and it puts more food on the table.

Oh no!....Kelly Armstrong (R-ND) has his big opportunity to make a name for himself, and commits a giant flub that is sure to be on the late night shows and go viral.

Amateur!  Gotta practice your big speech in front of the mirror until you know it backwards and forwards.

Sitting here seeing what the impeachment hearing looks like on hour 12.....I thinking would have lasted an hour or 2 if there were no cameras in the room.

All just political theater.  Where nobodies make a name for themselves and become the next generation of party leaders.

For me, didn't need one second of investigation to impeach Trump on abuse of power.  But out of the hours of hearings, the only other thing I saw that was relevant was about Trump only caring about the public announcement.  Sad part is, I think Trump actually does have the power to request that investigation, which is why they had to prove [and failed] there was more to it.  Just IMO what he did SHOULD be an abuse of power.

And after all that, they tack on "Obstruction of Congress", which definitely seems like bullshit.  So nothing from the Mueller Investigation.  And nothing about bribery/extortion/quid pro quo after a month of pretending Trump did that and it was the worst thing ever.

The announcement was for their country and constituents you dummy.  Why would we give them $500,000,000 dollars for nothing?  Announce to your people that corruption investigations are going to happen.....then you deserve our taxpayer money.

Absolutely not true...and you should remember back to Walter Cronkite, David Brinkley, Chet Huntley, etc. who just told what happened without putting their personal bias or opinion into their reporting.

What passes for reporting today would have no place by the Op / Ed pages 50 years ago...and that is where it belongs.

Had those guys existed in today's information age with all of the political talk shows, I have zero doubt that those guys would have been accused of bias just as today's media people are.

I agree...but because they would be doing exactly what the Fox, CNN and PMSNBC clows are doing now as that is the current 'news' climate.

The journalistic world has changed....and not for the better.
