I’d guess $10 - $20 million ………more defendants on deck.

Funny how crazy CNN is treating Romney as the new torch bearer for the pubs. He votes for impeachment and they go apeshit today.
Mitt Romney moves from Massachusetts to Utah and wins the US senate.
Hillary Clinton moves from Arkansas to New York and wins the Senate.
Carpetbaggers
edit: I have a problem with the lack of residency requirement in running for office. That being said, I just watched Mitt Romney give his impeachment vote statement.
I’m impressed.

Phony.
Did he happen to mention his ’12 campaign adviser served on the board of Burisma as well. Obviously he does not want any scrutiny there. Screw him.

It will be entertaining to watch right wingers applying the McCain treatment to their once "he's a great businessman" presidential candidate. Now he's a fake and a moron because of his vote. No doubt Medal of Freedom winner Limbaugh will have a parady song or like.
It's kind of like watching professional wrestling fans being drawn predictably through the emotions of the plotline when their when their wrestler's former tag team partner turns on him.

I think we all can imagine Quaker sitting in a high school gym while some former hot-shot neo-con is speaking and, in tears, blurting out, "IT'S STILL REAL TO ME, DAMNIT!!!!"

He might be a good businessman, but we now know he comes first, before America’s interests. We also now know he has a conflict of interest due to his campaign manager being on the board of Burisma, which will remain under scrutiny. So yes, we now know he is a phony. As previously mentioned, screw him (which is exactly what the media phonies will do once he no longer has utility for them).

Okay. Just very predictable.

When you're "party before country", the concept of a person on "your team" breaking ranks with the party is THE ULTIMATE SIN.
When you are ‘person before country’, that is where most draw the line.

What if Romney (and McCain before him) actually believed in the way they voted and felt they were doing it for the country's benefit?

This is what sucks about our democracy....its controlled by the $. I am sure 30 or so senators would have voted another way ( for and against) Trump if it weren't for the $

I don't think that it is so much the money...but getting re-elected.
IMO, if we had established term limits for the House and Senate, thereby not allowing being a Senator or Representative to be a career, then we would see more votes that were reflective of what the American people wanted rather than pandering to those influential minority groups that keep people in power.

Gee, what about congressman Jeff Van Drew leaving the democrat party over the impeachment debacle for reasons of principle. Why has the media not lifted him to the pedestal?
Biased, controlled mofo’s

That wasn't my question. You said that Romney put self in front of country. How do you know he did? What if he voted the way he truly thought was right. Your point about how the media treats Jeff Van Drew is not even the same type of question. So can you answer the original question?
Romney vote should reflect what his constituents wanted out of his vote.
Not sure that was the case
Remember when the creepy porn lawyer made up or promoted a made up story to keep a Supreme Court nominee off the court? And then remember when CNN and the other no ethics media had him on tv over 100 times? And Brian Stelter blew him on air and called him a serious 2020 candidate?
Well Avenetti was found guilty today in trying to extort Nike, and he still has 2 other cases to be tried against him. Good work dipshit media. No clue how CNN is still on air.

A big part of it seems to be people that hate CNN apparently watching it constantly to see what is being covered. I honestly never talk to anyone who watches CNN except right wingers who then proceed to complain about how biased and wrong it is. I seriously bet that is a huge part of its audience.

Romney voted to have witnesses because "he needed more evidence."
He voted to remove the president because "he had seen enough evidence."
You do defending him makes you look as dumb as he looks.

I am not defending him. QO said he put himself ahead of the country. I asked how he would know that.
Romney may be a lot of things, but he isn't "dumb".
Boy the left wing media went all in on Coronavirus....using it as their lead stories all day. They are trying hard to fear monger this thing because they know that it crashed the stock market for 2 days and they want the economy to crash and hurt all Americans.

The article stating Trump was upset about the market's reaction to coronavirus was posted 14 hours ago, and you just repeated it - er, I mean shared your thoughts on the matter - only 2 hours ago. What took you so long?
Well, it's too late for a recession to stop Trump....maybe we can root for the coronavirus taking out some of his voters.
