I can't remember an incumbent switching VP's for re-election.  Also, I'm not sure Trump could find anyone else to take the job!

LOL, it's brilliant!  He was fading hard, and now this stunt will get him a ton of media coverage.  Also, the next time immigration comes up in debate, he's going to say how he's the only one who went down to meet with the asylum seekers.  So then all the other Dems are going to have to follow suit.

...and it's going to make for some great attack ads for Republicans.  You can't do what Beto did and then claim that you're not about open borders.

Beto might be one of the few people who could actually be worse than Trump.  While Trump is socially immature, Beto actually kind of seems child-like.  Also, I think Beto really is a moron.

FDR did it every time. You do have to go back to the 19th century for others that switched them out. Lincoln switched his too. 

But, I agree, I doubt Trump drops Pence. He has been a loyal soldier to him and sure up the religious groups.

So... Cory Booker personally escorted five "asylum seekers" across the border.

Oh, and they've already been sent back across the border before. Not sure if he was aware of that or not.

The surprising thing isn't that he's the first to withdraw, it's that he was ever able to win an elected office, anywhere.
