I don't have all-time records, but I just went through JoeEitel and got regular season records from 2002 through 2009. Here are the PAC's records during that span:Red Rum;466876 wrote:Does anybody know what the all time win/loss record between the PAC & WCAL? I figure the PAC has a significant lead but have been to lazy to do the leg work.
2002: 3-3

2004: 6-1
2005: 1-5

THE4RINGZI am taking the Mustangs in Week 2. Against my heart.

1_beastBears are in a must win situation already. Going to Triway 0-2 will be ugly. Danville has a nice team down there. Im interested to see who the starting QB will be and also hoping that Mullins is used exclusively on Def. or at Tackle...I dont like seeing him at center. Like to see Mccarthey Williams at true TE getting some more touches. Eliminate mistakes and there are games to win...7-8 turnovers/per game and we are looking at 0-10
-
GrizzOk heres the deal with Grove City Christian. Last year some of the schools around them got dissolved so they had a bunch of stud players transfer in that year, but they graduated last year. Looks like it will be not a good year for them. And no Hillsdale is going to get stomped by St. John.
-
1_beastNo talk? Really? Man we have to get this advertised on WQKT or a shameles plug in The Daily Record....Hey Doc? Mike Plant? Hello???? lol
-
Red RumI agree Beast, OC is nothing like JJ used to be before they went fee happy. I know were never going to hear from Linttribe again but what about everyone else. 4 or 5 people running their mouths is nowhere near as entertaining as 20 to 25 like years past. It would be nice of Mike Plant to put the word out in the DR. How bout it Mike?
Pitman-thanks for the WCAL/PAC numbers. They were closer than I thought they would be.
I see Grizz thinks Hillsdale will be blown out by St. Johns. I'm inclined to agree. I'm thinking the Falcons will probably lose by 3 or 4 touchdowns. Anybody think it will be a worse beating? or Anyone see Hillsdale hangin' with the Blue Jays?
And finally, if this isn't the Huskies year in football.....It will be in wrestling. Had to throw that in as there is no life on the WCAL wrestling thread. -
THE4RINGZMaybe just no one wants to talk to you Red Rum? Plant has a user name on here and I am sure he monitors the local chat.
JJ is dead too. Maybe this isn't the year for people to get online and chat football or something................................. -
Havin FunJJ's is dead and no one knows about Ohio Chatter. Hillsdale loses by >4 td's even though I wish it wasn't true. Glad to see Beast is at least on here. If bears eliminate turnovers they have a good chance to win Friday.

That's probably it RINGZ, from now on I will try my best to be as interesting as you.....
As for Plant, Whats to monitor? Chats about Triway participation trophies and barmaid fantasies. -
THE4RINGZHa Ha yes.

thePITmanAnyone else catch the OhioChatter quote by Mike Plant in the Aaron Dorksen's pick'em-page write-up today? Haha! The only thing that was missing was an actual plug for this site.
Good luck to all WCAL schools tonight! -
GrizzWaynedale 21 Danville 10
Keep it under 3 turnovers and the bears will win. Casto will play the whole game, and I agree, Mullins need to move from center. He is only taking out one man at that position when we all know can handle 2 or 3. -
hipsledSmithville will probably lose by 10 tonight.........Waynedale will lose by 17..................Norwayne wins in another squeaker..............Hillsdale loses BIG.......NW wins BIG...........Rittman WINS by 14..........Dalton loses a squeaker.............Chips Lose by 10.................................................. If i get all these right i'll be charging for my college and pro picks next week...................I HOPE ALL WCAL teams win this week............Beautiful Night for Football!!! No Injuries Good Luck Guys!!!

1_beastBears lost 22-16....more mental mistakes and not sure of some of the play calling....definately dont understand some of the personnel changes. Mullins still under center..getting owned off the snap. Rotating QB's, making it very obvious when the "running" qb is in or the "passing" qb. QB rolling out and throwing cross body trying to make very difficult throws???? Running Mullins on and off the field isnt helping his play either....325 lbs run on for a play...run off for a play...run on for a play...crazy...(better get oxygen on the sidelines) No chance to get in rhythm. Defense having probs tackling...not wrapping or flocking to the ball....butter fingers...fumbles....int's....missed tackles....
Dalton beats Tuslaw tonight...Smithville lost big...Hillsdale lost big.... -
Red RumWent to Hillsdale/St.Johns game....pretty even first half, down 7-0 the Falcons gave up a hail mary touchdown pass in closing seconds of 2nd quarter to head into the locker room down 14-0. Beginning of the 3rd, the Falcons onside kicked and recovered then threw a long TD pass which got called back.
Having the TD pass called back really took the wind out of the Falcons sails as they went on a fumbling spree resulting in several St. Johns touchdowns. Overall the game was hard hitting and Hillsdale played the Blue Jays tougher than the final score indicated.
The falcons started getting the ball to Ryan Moore late. They should have tryed to get the ball to him earlier. He can be a game changer.
St.Johns QB is lethal, good scrambler and a rocket arm. That along with a stingy defense makes them a tough team to beat. Delphos fans are also a class act. -
madman11Rittman got a commanding win on the road at Brookside......Passing game was dominant again and Turbeville had well over 100 yards and added 2 touchdowns to make it 5 on the year!!! KEEP IT UP INDIANS!!!
-
27wackodogBulldogs spot Tuslaw 14 in the 1st qtr then runoff 30 unanswered of there own! with another touchdown nullified by a fumble at around 2 minute left in the game. Tuslaw will be tuff for a while , they got good numbers and big kids, and the qb is just a soph. he will get better. Dogs need to stay healthy and make a run this year. we lost kandel for the season on the opening kick, hope for a speedy recovery.

Havin FunGrizz - you were dead on for Waynedale. Keep it to three turnovers and we win the game. The fourth turnover was the killer. Driving for a go ahead score with 2 min to go and then the interception. I saw some good things though last night. There are many first time starters and a new QB basically playing in his first live action of the season due to injury in first scrimmage. Both backs are sophmores so they will just get better. Danville is a very good team and played basically mistake free. I agree Mullins needs to be moved to tackle and also play more D. I have never been a fan of using two QB's and could not see why we did that in the first half? I thought the play calling was pretty good though.
Against a team like Danville who runs and eats up clock, you are only going to have 8-9 possessions the entire game. When you have four turnovers, it is virtually impossible to win a game like this. Giving them the ball twice inside the 20 hurt bad. This is a Danville team that could go 10-0.
This is probably not a playoff team but with improvement each week could still win the WCAL. Dalton and Smithville, as all WCAL teams, are one key injury away from struggles. NW is doing ok but maybe not as dominate as first thought. We won't know what Rittman is like until Week 4. The first three teams they play may not tell us much. I see some nice players and a four year QB. Norwayne and Hillsdale look tough as expected but probably are not going to rack up big offensive numbers each week. And Chippewwa is rebuilding. The race is wide open right now!
On another note a Waynedale player was put on a board and taken off by ambulance. Prayers go out to #72 Wade Cleaver. -
luckydogGreat job by our new Coach keeping the boys pumped after being down 14 and the end of the first.
Allowing the players to ring the bell after the game was classic!!
Time to focus on Timken.............
GO BULLDOGS!!!! -
Mr. RussellSmithville 300 yards rushing last night, in a loss..........
Don't sleep on them when league play comes along. Gotta be able to complete a pass sometime though. -
mompovI don't ever underestimate any WCAL team on any given night. Very impressed with my Bulldogs last night. These seniors provide great leadership and are making the plays to prove it. Holes from last year getting filled pretty darn well, better than I thought honestly. Billker doing a great job in my opinion, both with policy and strategy. Lincoln Forrer is gonna be getting some looks from colleges for that foot if he can keep it going all season after that 43 yd field goal and the one just shy of 50. That said, injuries can hurt, but we've filled in for Lint so far and we won inspite of the "double platoon" AND losing Kandel last night. This team plays with passion and determination and that trickles down to whoever ends up out there on the field.
Someone told me Orrville had nothin' this year and Triway had it all! Hmmmm.....
Smithville needs consistency; hope they take longer than league opener to find it! I'm happy for Rittman. Hillsdale remains an enigma. Norwayne and Northwestern very capable. Chipp has to find another family of sons. -
hipsledWooster Does a Great Job And Destroying Wadsworth so leave it to Mike Plant and The Daily Record to make the headline focus on the IDIOT from Miami and not one or more of the Wooster Kids. This was as Classy as "The Decision". Are you Serious!!! Put it in the article somewhere but not the Headline.........................
-
dhs22pVery interesting week 2. Dalton and Norwayne playing good so far. Rittman is if off to a good start. Hillsdale played St. John's tough. This next week should be fun. Can't wait to see my Dogs play at Fawcett.

They beat Lutheran East just like last year. They only lost to Barberton 16-6 in week 2. So I think they are improved this year but I do not know how much they have improved. I think the thing the Dogs need to prove most upon is having the secondary tackle better. It was nice to see the Dogs win 2 different ways so far this season.
